    Perfection…and, yes, size down.
This dress fit me like a glove. I'm not alone, either - check out the rave reviews posted by women of all ages, shapes and sizes! I am 5'4", 125 pounds, 34D, very short-waisted and athletic but curvy. I am normally a size 6, but finally settled on the size 4 regular after trying the 6P. It hits about 2-3 inches below my knees, which is both flattering and a pleasant alternative to my other dresses, which are either mini or full-length. The smaller size just feels better and I think the closer fit helps the lace detail pop a bit more. The nude colored slip/lining also alleviated any modesty issues I had with respect to the "peekaboo" detailing throughout the bodice. It might look like you're showing a lot of skin, but it certainly doesn't feel like it once you're wearing it. It's classy and it's sexy, which is usually more than you can ask of a dress at this price point. Bonus: my flesh-colored bra is virtually undetectable, which is key given my cup size and the fact that I have 2 young kids.

    beautiful feminine LBD
A classy feminine twist on the LBD , form fitting enough to be sexy. I'm 5' tall, 90 lbs , fairly straight built and ordered the 00 petite, fits perfectly. It's a straight fitting dress, so there's not much give in the hips. As in the picture, the lace bodice and boat neckline are beautiful and flattering. and looks great with a pair of chandelier earrings and high patent slings. This dress is extremely well-crafted for its price, sewn in the league of designer wear. If I had one small criticism: the front (and back) black panels are slightly stiff, so doesn't fold nicely with sitting and doesn't fall smoothly after standing up. I might just have to remain standing at all the events! Still, it's not a deal breaker and I would definitely recommend this dress for the price.

Loved it, but it had to go back
I loved this dress instantly online and was pleased with the quality and it fit well. I needed something for a specific function though, and even though the lace peekaboo is an illusion, it felt too risque for my need. Additionally, although it fit well, I felt like it made me look a little frumpy. The tiny hooks were also a little problematic for me - tended to open up.

    This Dress is for You!
I saw this dress in the catalogue and fell in love. Unfortunately when I went to order it, it had sold out of my size. I kept checking back just in case and was rewarded for my persistence. I ordered an 8 and it was very snug around my hips. I am small on top but curvier on the bottom. I really wanted the dress though so I ordered a 10 and a 12. I liked the roominess I had in the 12. Unfortunately, the larger sizes are sold out. But if you are smaller, you should really consider trying this dress. It's expensive but unique and sure to get lots of compliments. The one downfall to this dress is that it does kind of have a weird smell to it. But I can deal.

I saw this dress in the store and instantly fell in love. I'm normally a 10 or 12 in Anthro dresses. I tried the 12 and could barely get it over my hips. It was very tight on the bottom and loose on the top (it's supposed to be this way). I'm 5'3 and probably needed a petite, but I worried it would fit even tighter than the regular 12. Something to note, the dress is very heavy. Make sure you're in an air conditioned space when wearing it - I wouldn't recommend this for any outdoor festivities.

    Magnificent dress
I loved this dress from the moment I saw on the look book. I was debating between ordering the 4 or 6, finally deciding on the 6 based on the above reviews. However, when is arrived, it was very large. I would recommend ordering at least one size down. The dress had plenty of space in the bust area, and nicely fitted at waist and hips. Quality is exquisite. I cant wait to get the proper size so I can enjoy this masterpiece! !

My daughter is getting married in the spring. It will be a morning, garden wedding. She found her dress at BHLDN and suggested I look at Anthropologie for mine. She knew I didn't want a typical "mother of the bride" dress. This dress is gorgeous! Everything about it is perfect. It is beautifully made. The color is incredible and the fit is true to size. I ordered the size 6 and it hits just at my knee.

    Beautifully designed dress
I was hesitant to buy this dress because it looked like heavy material. I was pleasantly surprised by how light this dress is. The embroidery is gorgeous and the dress fits like a glove. I am 5'3" 113 pounds and I bought a 2 Petite. The neckline is very flattering and the color is to die for-- much more vibrant in person!!

    Classic die-hard anthropologie vibe
Note to fellow anthro sisters! Even though it says this item is "no longer available," today (April 12, 2015) I walked into the Georgetown, DC store, and there was an ENTIRE RACK of them. So if you're dying to get your hands on this, call the Georgetown DC store or call your local store and see if they can get one for you. I've found on numerous occasions that the regular Anthro national customer service will tell me a certain dress is not available anywhere, but then if I call an actual store, they seem to be able to pull up dresses in-store using a different system. Ok, review time! I have been waiting with bated breath for this dress to arrive and now it has at last! 1. I was worried that it would have a "heavy feel", but it does not look or feel "heavy" in person (just high quality). 2. I ordered the size 10. I normally wear a 10 and occasionally size down to an 8 or up to 12. On me, the torso was a little bit too long and the waistline hit my stomach about 1/2 an inch lower than I'd normally like. I'm just SUPER sensitive to any squeezing in that area. Others might not notice this. Because the torso is a little long, I was experimenting with taking in the shoulder seams maybe 1/2-3/4" just so the torso would lay better on my body. 3. I wish it was lined in a color other than the same light green as the dress. To me the green lining "tones down" the amazing magical delicious frothiness of the embroidered overlay and just makes it blend in and look more normal. I'd love to see it lined in a nude... 4. My dress that came in the mail had a very strong chemically odor. However, I picked up a size 12 in a store today and it seemed to smell more normal, like a starchy new-clothes smell, so this may dissipate. 5. My mail-order dress also had three small weird holes in the net at the bottom of the hem, almost like a "run" or even a tiny "cigarette burn". Arg!! (especially at this price point!) 6. So at first I thought, OK, this dress is sold out, I guess I will just deal with the size 10 and find a way to make it work. Then today I was saw the same dress in the Georgetown DC store and tried it on in the 12. Hurray! I will still need to definitely shorten the straps, but the 12 had no squeezing around the stomach and seemed to fit everywhere else as well as the 10. 7. Overall, I've bought other dresses of similar quality at Anthropologie for a much lower price (even without the 20% promo discount). I'm not quite sure why this is so expensive - even though it is high quality and beautiful. I am buying it now because if I don't, I know I'll get obsessed and regret it later. But normally, at this price point, I'd wait for it to go to sale - however, with this one, it's not really an option to wait. 8. Bottom line: this is the kind of unique, magical, gorgeous, amazing dress that keeps me coming back to anthropologie again and again and again. *This* is the fabulosity I seek and the reason I barely shop anywhere else. 9. I'm hourglass, curvier on the bottom, just to help out others who are thinking about this one!

    A True Classic
This is such a pretty and unique dress . It has the Asian vibe that is so popular now but it is also sure to be a classic that won't go out of style. It fits TTS. I am 5 ft 2 in and wear a 0-2 and the petite 0 fits perfectly. The waist is fitted but there is ample room up top so focus on your waist size when ordering.

    Love this dress!
This dress is very flattering! It is such a nice airy silk and the fabric drapes beautifully. I love that there is enough coverage on the arms and it is a great length; the waist is nicely defined in this dress as well with the way it is cut. The perfect summer dress...timeless and beautiful!

    Well Designed
Overall, this dress is really pretty. It fits true to size, and there are little snaps in all the right places to keep the material in place. However, i am sending the dress back for 2 reasons. The quality of the material for the price point is just not quite up to par. Also, the dress I received looked as if it had been worn and returned and then sent to me. It was stained with make up, and the white material looked slightly dingy in certain areas.

    Unique Fabric
My first thought on this dress was "Mad Men" style. The fabric is much much more beautiful in person and is very soft! The details of the embroidery are exquisite. Paired with heels and a cardigan for work and can also dress down. I love the fit - straight and forgiving of problem areas (tummy in particular) without being frumpy. Worth every penny and a great investment piece!
