I loved the colors and style of this dress when I saw it online, and it didn't dissappoint! I feel the color combination is beautiful and the dress is comfortable. To address previous comments... I didn't find it difficult to put on, and yes...your bra will definitely show in the back, so find an alternate or go bra less, and as for the elastic waist, if it's bothersome, try a wrap belt I think I may like that better anyway. I found that for me, the waist didn't sit exactly on my waist anyway, it was slightly above...am I long waisted?? So I intend to wear this dress belted to correct that. Otherwise, it's a very pretty dress!

I bought this dress in a MP, and the fit was really great. I love everything except for the elastic waist. Where it cuts in really emphasizes any 'love handles' one may have, and also kind of creates the illusion of them as well. I am a curvy girl, and while I love my curves, I don't think a dress should create any new ones, if you get my meaning. I will say though that this dress is EXTREMELY comfortable and really fun and flowing. A great spring/summer dress to be sure. I should also note that if you are a bit curvy, the embroidery, though lovely, outlines your silhouette, making any curves more pronounced. Ultimately while I really liked the dress, I felt more self-conscious in it than confident and at this price point, that isn't what I am looking for. Wish it would've worked out!

I am so excited to have found this dress! It is very flattering and well made. I am a curvy lady with a large chest and I can actually wear this and feel covered up and beautiful! My husband also thought it was a hit. Good job Anthro!
I agree with the previous reviewer that this dress runs small on top. Size up.
I'm 5'2", currently a 30D/32C, 33-24.5-~37 with narrow shoulders and ribcage. Often the size XS regular dresses at Anthro are too large for me on top, but the XS fit me almost perfectly and was just a few inches too long while wearing my flat boots. I have a longish waist and the seam hit just below the narrowest part of my waist - you can see a bit of the extra fabric in the one photo. True petites shorter than me may do better with petite sizes for the waist seam placement. I would say the top portion fits like the Larksong Corduroy Dress in 0, and the Painted Plaid dress in 0 by Corey Lyn Calter.
This dress felt so comfortable on. The silk crepe is substantial, not so thin that it will snag or wrinkle by just putting it on. Hidden zipper in back. There is a stretchy poly lining that goes from the bodice to about the knee, but I don't think it is even needed. There is a slit one one side only...to the knee. About 5 or 6 gores make the skirt flare from the waist seam without adding bulk. Looks great while walking. I think the pattern placement may be a bit different with each dress, but as this isn't a symmetrical pattern it shouldn't matter too much. Worth full price for me.

Elegant silk maxi
I just wore this dress to Easter and felt elegant and beautiful (I also received many compliments). I am 5'9 and got a large, which was perfect because this dress is tight across the chest. People that are short will definitely have to shorten the dress, but it fits perfectly for me whether wearing flats or heels. I definitely recommend this dress. It looks classy yet effortless at the same time. I know I will get a lot of use out of it.

Snug in the chest
I love the dress; it is really quite beautiful. The only problem is, the medium (my usual anthro size) is so tight in the ribcage i can barely move. Will need to return for a size large. I would say to definitely order up a size if you are at all on the fence.
I love the pattern and color combination on this dress. I got the blue, but am tempted to spring for the multi now as I was so impressed by the design. I thought it would be just like the plaid dress with the navy blue color and pink stripes, but it was twice as nice. The material is very soft, excellent quality and it is lined with a soft rayon slip. It is not too baggy and is actually very slimming in the way that the fabric falls; you really don't need a belt for this one even if you are slim and want to show off your waist. It accentuates the shape of your body regardless of body time in an "oh so flattering" way. This is a great dress for fall and early spring. .. . I highly recommend this dress.

I almost love it.
I bought this online with the hopes that a large would be roomy enough. I'm 150lbs (just had a baby, thank you), 36C, and I'm looking for comfy things that don't bind. The L goes to the middle of my calves and the sleeves are a touch tight. When I cross my arms in front of myself, I feel tugging across my shoulder blades and biceps. Belted, the dress falls closer to my knees, but I'm still afraid one wrong move will result in a torn seam. I'm considering an XL but I know it's going to look like a queen sized bedsheet.
The fabric used for both the dress and slip are lovely and soft, and the color is exactly as pictured for the red and blue. Be warned, though, this dress says hand wash cold, line dry, or machine wash cold and line dry. I'd opt for the former- the dress itself seems very delicate and one scratchy item would probably snag it.
This dress is of excellent quality. It swings beautifully. It is a unique and modern style and it looks just like the picture. The problem I have is that it looks a bit heavy for a spring/summer dress. The ruffle at the bottom weighs it down. Also, I am not sure black is the best color for this dress. It looks black and heavy. In reality, it is quite light and swingy... There is a strange fall as the pleats begin above the breast. I think this would be the most flattering on gals who are more flat chested and tall. It may be overwhelming for some. Still, it is beautiful and expensive looking. Unfortunately, going back.

A touch of elegance
I read the other reviewers comments and agree a bit that the fabric is heavier than most polyester items. However, it is really lovely on and feels airy (despite the heaviness of the fabric). It is rather low cut and a bit loose, but that is the style. I was going to return it and then realized that it is the perfect dress for an afternoon luncheon at home or at a close friends house. Something elegant to walk around in and then casual enough to dine outdoors. It is a statement piece that I know I will cherish for years to come. Not your everyday look, but one that keeps them wondering.
I purchased this in the store on April 9th for a trip to Tahiti. The material is beautiful and so is the dress. The only negative is that I have to take in the waist of the dress because it just falls straight and could look so much better with that adjustment. All in all, that's still worth it to have such a unique dress for the summer. Highly recommend. Also runs large - I am a size 4-6 and purchased an XS.
I tried this on at an Anthro store with a floppy straw hat and got lots of compliments from other customers. Expensive for a simple, white summer dress, but well worth it. Looks simple on the hanger, but looks amazing on.
I'm 5'6", 135 lbs ... I purchased a size 4.
I bought this to wear on my wedding day after having already bought and taken back a dress I tried on in a different store. Needless to say I was on pins and needles when it arrived. This dress is less casual than in the photograph, I think even my mom will like it. It's elegant and looks rich, but the fabric is very thin (definitely calling for nude underwear if not a slip), and it is just the right amount of strange/edgy for a serious event. I will have to have it significantly hemmed and probably have a small button or snap put in the v-neck to keep my chest covered. The sash is particularly stunning. I can imagine it bunching up over the course of the day, but it makes for a dramatic and slimming (who doesn't love that) look. I am relieved I bought this, even though I missed the sale. I wish Anthro had more sizes of their dresses in stock. I grew paranoid finding gowns I loved but couldn't order in my size.
