I loved the colors and style of this dress when I saw it online, and it didn't dissappoint! I feel the color combination is beautiful and the dress is comfortable. To address previous comments... I didn't find it difficult to put on, and yes...your bra will definitely show in the back, so find an alternate or go bra less, and as for the elastic waist, if it's bothersome, try a wrap belt I think I may like that better anyway. I found that for me, the waist didn't sit exactly on my waist anyway, it was slightly above...am I long waisted?? So I intend to wear this dress belted to correct that. Otherwise, it's a very pretty dress!

I bought this dress in a MP, and the fit was really great. I love everything except for the elastic waist. Where it cuts in really emphasizes any 'love handles' one may have, and also kind of creates the illusion of them as well. I am a curvy girl, and while I love my curves, I don't think a dress should create any new ones, if you get my meaning. I will say though that this dress is EXTREMELY comfortable and really fun and flowing. A great spring/summer dress to be sure. I should also note that if you are a bit curvy, the embroidery, though lovely, outlines your silhouette, making any curves more pronounced. Ultimately while I really liked the dress, I felt more self-conscious in it than confident and at this price point, that isn't what I am looking for. Wish it would've worked out!

I am so excited to have found this dress! It is very flattering and well made. I am a curvy lady with a large chest and I can actually wear this and feel covered up and beautiful! My husband also thought it was a hit. Good job Anthro!
I agree with the previous reviewer that this dress runs small on top. Size up.
I'm 5'2", currently a 30D/32C, 33-24.5-~37 with narrow shoulders and ribcage. Often the size XS regular dresses at Anthro are too large for me on top, but the XS fit me almost perfectly and was just a few inches too long while wearing my flat boots. I have a longish waist and the seam hit just below the narrowest part of my waist - you can see a bit of the extra fabric in the one photo. True petites shorter than me may do better with petite sizes for the waist seam placement. I would say the top portion fits like the Larksong Corduroy Dress in 0, and the Painted Plaid dress in 0 by Corey Lyn Calter.
This dress felt so comfortable on. The silk crepe is substantial, not so thin that it will snag or wrinkle by just putting it on. Hidden zipper in back. There is a stretchy poly lining that goes from the bodice to about the knee, but I don't think it is even needed. There is a slit one one side only...to the knee. About 5 or 6 gores make the skirt flare from the waist seam without adding bulk. Looks great while walking. I think the pattern placement may be a bit different with each dress, but as this isn't a symmetrical pattern it shouldn't matter too much. Worth full price for me.

Elegant silk maxi
I just wore this dress to Easter and felt elegant and beautiful (I also received many compliments). I am 5'9 and got a large, which was perfect because this dress is tight across the chest. People that are short will definitely have to shorten the dress, but it fits perfectly for me whether wearing flats or heels. I definitely recommend this dress. It looks classy yet effortless at the same time. I know I will get a lot of use out of it.

Snug in the chest
I love the dress; it is really quite beautiful. The only problem is, the medium (my usual anthro size) is so tight in the ribcage i can barely move. Will need to return for a size large. I would say to definitely order up a size if you are at all on the fence.
So comfortable and easy. The color is fairly true to the photo. I've worn it once already (and it was a hit!) and look forward to wearing it all spring, summer and fall.
Additional info: I'm 5'3, 115 lbs and the XS Petite fit me perfectly. The back hits just about where it hits on the model so I think a regular XS would have been too long for me

Beautiful comfortable dress
Casual comfortable dress. Very flattering on. 5'6 128 lbs bust 34 C. Xsmall fit well
I have this in the blue color and i am waiting for the red to come back in my size to purchase. It fits perfectly...I have a fit build, 34D chest, hourglass shape. Wearing a bra with this would be a challenge, so I wouldn't purchase it if you are not comfortable going without. I love it! Highly recommend.

Tricky bra, quality issues
As previous reviewers have noted, this is tricky to style with a bra. As a D-cup, going without was not an option, but I found a backless plunge stick on bra from the most popular not-so-secret lingerie mall chain in America that just manages to hide under the silk bodice. It's another investment after the already expensive dress. With that covered, wow! It's a total Marilyn Monroe moment, especially in the eye-popping red. However, some other caveats - there was a loose silk thread in the back by the zipper pull straight out of the packaging, really a shame at this price point. And the length makes the sexy-thigh slit negligible on petites (even in the pic on the tall model you can see she's holding it up.) I will probably take this to the tailor to get a few inches taken off the bottom at some point. But I love the red too much to send it back, even at this price.

stunning, but not without some flaws
First off, if I weren't pressed for time, I would have sent this dress back because of a couple of quality issues. Straight out of the plastic mailer, it has a minor pull in the silk on the back, and the seams don't line up from side to side perfectly on either side of the zipper. That being said, the navy is no longer an option on the website, and I don't have enough time to shop around for another navy dress before an upcoming event. Except for these minor flaws, the dress is fabulous. It looks stunning on! It runs big. I usually take a size 2-4. The 0 is snug around the rib cage and flows nicely over my stomach. The shoulders however are still a little big and may slip off. I have an A cup, thus it may just be because I don't fill the top very much, esp without a bra! As the previous reviewer stated, you probably need to be comfortable without a bra for this dress to work. But these issues are nothing that a little fashion tape and nipple covers can't solve. The dress is a bit more high maintenance than I would like. Beautiful mix of sexy and classy. I know I'll feel like a million bucks as long as I don't have a Janet Jackson Super Bowl moment.
I purchased this in the store on April 9th for a trip to Tahiti. The material is beautiful and so is the dress. The only negative is that I have to take in the waist of the dress because it just falls straight and could look so much better with that adjustment. All in all, that's still worth it to have such a unique dress for the summer. Highly recommend. Also runs large - I am a size 4-6 and purchased an XS.
I tried this on at an Anthro store with a floppy straw hat and got lots of compliments from other customers. Expensive for a simple, white summer dress, but well worth it. Looks simple on the hanger, but looks amazing on.
I'm 5'6", 135 lbs ... I purchased a size 4.
