    Petites run very short-waisted
I first fell in love with this dress in the catalog shot and tried on my usual size 2 in store, but it was clearly too big in the bust and long in the shoulders. This problem is typical for me as a petite--5'2", straight and athletic figure--so I ordered the 2P. Unfortunately, the petite size is tight in the waist (where I'm proportionally larger) and noticeably short-waisted. I actually am short-waisted myself, albeit with a long torso, but the petite dress's waistline hit above my high natural waist. Combined with the shorter length, it felt childish and babydoll-like. To get the right fit I'd have to purchase the size 2 and get it professionally altered, so I'll wait for sale. A few other notes about the dress itself: every dress has a slightly different pattern layout, and in most of them the dot centered on the v-neck is NOT centered (i.e. like the model shots but not like the perfect catalog shot). Also, there are pockets hidden in the front where the two different pattterns meet in the skirt, not on the side seam as I initially expected.

I have a full hour glass figure and sometimes it's difficult to find something that will flatter that. This dress is PERFECT on me! It defines my waist and flares out nicely to accent my curvy hips. I know some reviews said it runs big, but I got my usual size 10 and it fit wonderfully. I love the way they mixed the patterns and how they placed them on the dress. It's not overwhelming at all, and I think the v-neck helps break it up a bit. Also, the length is spot on for me, I'm 5'5" and it hits about an inch above the knee. I plan on wearing it to a graduation with wedges, and then a little more casually to a bridal shower during the summer with sandals. I can't wait to wear this!

    Adorable dress
I purchased this in store in a size 2. This is my usual dress size (5'4" 125lbs 34B). This hits at my knee and is not too tight on the bust/waist. The front is cut low enough to be flattering, but is still work appropriate. The fabric is a crisp cotton. This dress has a burgundy lining with black scallop threading trim and front pockets. This has the right amount of full skirt (not too big). I can see this easily working in warmer weather as the fabric is light weight. I wore it with a black cropped cardigan, black tights and boots today in the dead of winter, so I can see getting a lot of use out of this dress. Love how the pattern looks on the sides of the dress. Hope they make this dress in a lot of different patterns.

    Love At First Sight
When I saw this dress in the catalog I immediately called Anthro to make sure the color was as pictured, I placed my order right away, actually I placed it 2 day shipping. I could not wait to get this dress, and let me tell you the photos don't do it justice, the dress is absolutely gorgeous. I had a problem with the chest area it ran small, so I had to return it for a larger size, I'm looking forward to wearing this dress to my college graduation, getting my Masters degree so everything has to be on point. This dress is perfect, the quality and design right down to the smallest detail. It hits just below my knees, making my leggs look longer which is always a plus for someone my height. The dress does NOT disappoint, truely worth every cent, I absolutely love it and can hardly wait for the exchange to arrive, I'm seriously hoping they have not sold out, this would be the disappointment.

    In love with this dress
My husband picked this out for me and we ordered it right away. It is so well made and gorgeous. I only had a problem with the waist. It runs pretty tight. Once I get it zipped, It is so elegant, but I would have ordered the next size just for ease of dressing. It is a dress I will wear often!

This dress is more beautiful in person than on the website. I bought it in store today. Fell in LOVE with it when I tried it on - it fit perfectly and looks very elegant and beautiful. I'm normally between an 8 and a 10, I got the 10 in this as the 8 was tighter in the bust than I wanted. If you're small chested you are probably fine at a smaller size, but for large chests I'd take the bigger size. I'm 5'8 and the length on the regular was perfect - right at the knee.

    Lovely dress
For reference: I measure 35 bust, 25 waist and 36 hips at 5'5" and I ordered this dress in size 4 petite. The waist size and length fit me perfectly, however the bust gaps pretty significantly at the sides, about an inch on each side. The quality and feel of this dress are wonderful and I'm very happy with how it looks on me, aside from the bust issue. I will be keeping this dress and taking it to a tailor for alterations.

    Absolutely classic
I adore the cut of this dress! It feels very ladylike. Classic but fresh. If you are looking to accentuate your waist, this is definitely the dress to try! The material feels great- and although the skirt has an airiness to it, there is a definite 'weight' to the material (I hope the delicate straps don't break!). Really love it overall.

    Beautiful, lots of fabric
This dress is beautiful and I ALMOST bought it, but the weight and amount of fabric were both cons on this one for a summer dress. My normal size 8 fit (5'7, 160lbs). I'd say if you are on the petite side, this dress would probably swallow you. The fabric and pleating in the skirt is very pretty, and I can see it working for many women. I'd advise anyone to try it on in store before buying.

i fell in love with this dress in the store but unfortunately i needed to go a size up which they didn't have in stock so i immediately went online and placed an order from the fitting room. i have to say, when i saw it online i thought to myself how i would never have made the decision to purchase by looking at the photos. but in-person, this dress is a stunner and so figure-flattering, especially for curvy girls. i have hips and the structure of the peplum bottom and the way that it hugs and flares out looks so beautiful and feminine. i bought it in black and the material is of excellent quality. it fits true to size but there's a lot of give in it because of the stretchy material. i highly recommend. so happy i found it and can't wait to wear it!

    beautiful, versatile dress
I saw this dress on the Anthro website and loved it, but wanted to try it on in-store for fit. The black color has a gorgeous texture to it and the fabric is slightly stretchy and flatters my curves. I may even end up buying it in navy/purple. For reference, I'm usually a size 6 in Anthro dresses and this one fit true to size. The hem hits slightly shorter on me than it does on the model; I'm 5'9 but have a larger chest (34D).

I didn't expect to love this....
I ordered a bunch of dresses online during Anthro's recent sale and considered this one of the unlikely contenders. Well, in the end, this won out. The flounce works much better than I expected, and the color is really lovely. Like other HD in Paris dresses that I've tried, it is made with a sweatshirt like material. So it is really comfortable, but it does not have as much inherent structure as you might expect for this style of dress. So I think that probably makes it even more important that it fit well. For me, it hit all the right spots, though it was more fitted than shown on the model. I am 5'5 128 hourglass and I got a S.

    Dress Up or Down
I needed something for my son's college graduation which is outside in a football stadium. This is perfect. I dressed it up with some skin colored heels. Also looks just as cute when dressed down with sandals. I am 5'5" and this hits me right above the knee - not near as short as on the model. I am in my fifties and my 19 year old daughter had a fit over it. This dress is so versatile and the detailing on the bodice is fabulous. I ordered a M and L cuz I have broad shoulders - the L was enormous. I was swimming in it. The M was perfect. And my daughter ended up wearing it before I did with booties!

    summer go-to
This is going to be one of my new summer go-to dresses. It's easy to throw on and looks great with booties or sandals. The fabric on the skirt is a little thin, so I may have to wear a slip with it just to be safe. However, everything else about this dress is fabulous. As someone with a larger chest (34DD) one of my concerns is always tightness across the chest, however this fits TTS (I'm normally a 6-8 and ordered a Medium) and has plenty of room in the top. It's light, but well-made and the fabric is really soft--like many other Holding Horses items. I can't wait to wear this around!

Elegance With a Bit of Whimsy
I saw this dress online and fell in love with it - I found it in my local Anthro yesterday and wasn't disappointed. The colors are beautiful and vibrant. The fabric is light and perfect for spring/summer. I usually wear a 2/4 and tried both before deciding on the 2 which fit me much better. I'm 5'6" and it hits above my knees. I'll probably get it shortened an inch. My only complaint is that it isn't lined, but the dress is of such a nice quality this isn't a problem.
