I was looking for a slightly formal dress and liked the "retro" cut of this one. I hesitated because I wasn't crazy about the pattern, but decided to give it a try. When I put it on, I couldn't believe how sliming it was. It has sort of an empire waist. I have an hourglass figure and this dress looked just amazing on. I think the broad top makes your hips look smaller. The top is very large--too large.there seems to be too much fabric on the top. I'm a 36C and could have easily been a DD. The

The quality of the fabric is lovely--very flowy.

This dress runs true to size. I'm 5'7" and the length was perfect with a 2 1/2 inch heel. I got my usual 4. The waistband sits high with no give but the rest of the dress is flow-y and fluid. It makes you look so long and lean! The neckine is not too revealing and the sleeves give it character. My disappointed came in the color; the background is more gray than purple in real life but the print is beautiful and timeless. It is just a print even though it looks like it could be a raised velvety

This dress is absolutely flawless! I disagree with the previous review that you have to be a certain shape for this dress. The top is meant to be "large" to drape just right on your body- the draping effect coupled with the cinch at the waist is exactly what makes this dress so slimming and feminine. The picture on the model shows exactly how the dress will hang. I am a pencil figure and this dress looks absolutely stunning. I have never owned a dress that I love more. I was hesitant to purchase

This is a cute dress but it was a little too much "swing" for my liking. The gray color is definitely lighter than the photo but I liked it. This would be adorable with gray boots. For the right person, it's a cute dress.

This is a comfortable, flattering dress. I had easily five compliments on it the first day I wore it.

Nice, but Paler in Person
I bought the orange thinking it would be an awesome transitional piece to have for wearing black tights and boots as it gets cooler, but when it arrived in the mail the orange is much paler than it seems in the image, and what appears to be black is definitely gray. I tried it on with black tights and the contrast was just too intense and looked funny (looked like I was trying to force a summer dress into winter). I love all the versions of this dress from past seasons, but sadly I'll pass on

The moment I tried on this dress in the store, I knew I had to have it! It looks professional and it great for work but is so soft, it feels like PJs. In addition, it looks equally fab with heels, flats, or boots. I can layer it with a cardigan or a turtleneck. It has both comfort and style in spades.
Like the previous reviewer, though I am petite, the proportions of the regular size fit better in the torso--the little striped band hit in a more flattering place, somehow. However, the arm holes

Several years ago, I stopped buying from Anthro as regularly because I was sick and tired of hauling my entire closet to the dry cleaner's--not to mention spending my entire paycheck on cleaning. I just bought three fall dresses from Anthro and each one is machine washable! Thank you Anthro for hitting all the marks with this dress (and more than a few others) this season!

I am loving this little dress.I just tried it on at the store and went with my usual size and paired it (by happenstance) with the top on the anthro sight. It's adorable and I'm thinking it's going to be a very flexible tri season piece...turtleneck...boots...leggings! Oh my. It does run large so I sized down and it fit better. But it didn't look as nice as the bigger one, which everyone thought hung better on my body.I'm loooong waisted.,kind of T shaped...broad shoulders narrow hips. I will be

Paired this with lavish fanned bib necklace
The lavish fanned bib necklace looks like it was deliberately made to go with this dress. I wore it without a shirt & plan to add a white long sleeve shirt once the weather gets cooler cooler.
I paired this with grey suede over the knee boots. & can't wait to wear this again. It is very comfortable & the picture here does not do the dress justice. I bought size xs but usually wear a small.
I ordered this as an option for my (obviously non-traditional) wedding. The design is very simple and flattering though a bit big on top -- I wear a 32 DD bra and the xtra small was big on top. The print is nice, though the wrap top and silk gives it a bit of a kimono feel, which you may or may not like. The silk isn't of the highest quality, but at least it's not polyester like so many Anthro dresses seem to be these days! It's very long and dramatic. I decided to return it and wear a different

Beautiful print - tight bust - wrap dress
I didn't see in the description that this is a wrap dress. Unfortunately, I am busty/curvy and this type of dress just doesn't work for my body type. The print is gorgeous and the fabric is very soft and flows well. I am 5"9" 150 pounds, 38D and typically wear a M or 10 (sometimes 12) in Anthro and and I found this dress to be tight around the bust line and too low cut for me in both M and L. There is a snap on the top but this still showed too much cleavage for my liking. Also, since it is a

There is an internal panel that guards against total exposure which is nice, but this style just isn't great for my body type. Had it not been wrap-style, I think the dress would have been perfect. I think it would look nice on someone with smaller frame. Please also note that I tried M and L and both touched the floor and I am 5"9".

amazing wrap dress!
This is such a beautiful dress! I am 5'6 with a pear shaped body (waist 29, hips 40, bust 33) and the Medium fit PERFECT! The good news is since it is a wrap dress I could probably have even gotten away with the small or the large because you can tie it to fit your waist. The length for me is perfect (again I'm 5'6) and I think I will only need a small heel could maybe even get away with flats. The fabric is beautiful and the quality is well worth the money spent!
I'd be rich! I saw this dress online and knew immediately that it had to be mine! I wore it to work today (a business casual medical office where I sometimes dress above board..) and EVERYONE I saw LOVED this dress. It is light, airy, and super comfortable. I am kind of obsessed and fully suggest it to anyone who needs a dress for all occasions. Love, love, love!

This dress has it all!
I am absolutely in LOVE with the print and color combination of this dress. The silhouette is very forgiving and the attached sash can be partly undone to look like a tie, twisted to form a ribbon, OR...tucked all the way under and inside the dress out of site for a different look, the The bonus is that It also comes with a black slip that is removable. At 113 lbs and a little thicker in the middle, I was noodling over an XS petite and a S petite. XSP fit perfectly but a bit snug for my taste.

I also recommend going in store to hand pick your own because each piece is cut from an 'all over print' fabric so the flowers land differently on EVERY dress. There are no 2 alike. Coming from the apparel industry, i am VERY picky about this and tried on about 3 of each size to pick the one I liked the best. Enjoy!!

Just wish it had a little more substance to it. Fall colours but not exactly fall fabrics.
I try to avoid paying full price for things at Anthro, but I saw this dress and had to have it. To me, the styling is great, because it works for my office with tights and a cardigan, but is also a cute going-out dress. I'm 5'6", and it comes to just above my knees. To me, the waist on this dress is an empire, but I have a long torso and big thighs, so I'm a fan. I'm typically a size 8 on top, and a 10 or a 12 on the bottom, and this dress looks great. The top fits, and the bottom is loose

Great dress. Fit perfectly in my size 6. Very flattering on with the fitted waist design
2 months ago
The colors were great, the material nice... but the fit was off. I do not have a high waistline; mine sits pretty solidly between my bust and hips. This dress would be better for someone with the smallest part of their waist near their bust. Also, I am usually a 4/6 in dresses, but I ordered the 6 - it was still too small. For full info-sharing, I am a 32-DD... but usually I'm still small enough around for the 4/6 dress size to fit perfectly. Not this dress though.
Great dress overall! The pattern and colors are just as vivid on screen as they are in person. Although this dress is boxy, the fit is flattering if you get the right fit. Definitely order at least 1 size down. I usually need to wear an XSP, but my typical size was still too big. An XXS fit well shoulder-wise, hip-wise, and length-wise (reached lower-mid thigh). I agree with a previous reviewer that it wrinkles easily. However, that is one minor issue that won't stop me from wearing this

I am 6 months pregnant and was looking for something to wear to my baby shower and this dress was able to adapt to my growing belly and still be flattering. The colors are beautiful and vibrant. Great dress.
Here's my two cents:
- Lyocell! So this is extremely comfortable and breathable material.
- Good amount of stretch.
- Nice pockets and cuff detailing.
- Entirely too short in the front for a gal of my height. Looks like a nightgown on me. If it was knee length, it'd match better in the back.
- If you're busty like me, this only further shortens to front portion of the dress making it look like an oversized T-shirt.

This is a dress of high quality, although I am unsure if I will keep it. The problem for me is that it has huge swing, therefore lots of fabric in the back. I am a size 12 Regular, and it is just a teeny bit snug in the shoulders if I were to hug someone (as stated by another reviewer) but could not size up as it would be too large, so I believe it is true to size. I am on the shorter side 5'4" and it may be too much dress for me. It is definitely a high-low dress, so it seems to "trail" after

This dress is so adorable! I'm impressed by the quality of this dress. It is very well made and has a lot of nice details, something I expect to find on dresses from Anthropologie. The fabric is also very soft and a nice weight. The downside... The front is short!! Why?? At 5'6", im not "tall", but I'm pretty leggy, and the front of this dress is about 5" above my knees. I'm not comfortable with that... HOWEVER, I did buy this dress for fall and winter and that's in the boots/ tights/ leggings
... read more territory. So, I pulled on a pair of tights and tall boots and... It works!! I don't feel self conscious at all about the length now. The top of the dress fits fine on me. The shoulders are slightly restrictive, but not crazy tight. The back is more on the dramatic side, but I'm thinking of using one of those dress clips or maybe adding a back pleat to try and contain some of the excess "billowy-ness". Overall, I'd say the dress fits me just like it does on the model. I can't get over the cute-ness!! For reference, I'm 5'6", 133 lbs, with an athletic build, and ordered my typical size 6.
I love the pattern on this dress! It makes it unique without it being overbearing. I also like the detail in the front by having it tie and giving it an extra layer of detailing. The material is nice and feels good on too. The only con that i would say is the fit. It is bigger on top then the bottom and it runs large. Im 5' 2'' and 130. Im usually a S in Anthro but I need to return it and get an X-S.

When I ordered this dress I didn't have any big expectations but I love it! I love how it can be dressed up or down! I know that I will get a lot of use out of it! I really like how it ties in the front:)
Dress is composed of a beautiful design and the fabric has both weight and texture - however the fabric is in fact a blend of silk (16.5%), with a majority of rayon/cotton - and an acetate lining (in case folks might happen to have skin allergies to synthetic materials).
The fit was slightly snug (fit well in bust and back - and seems to have a fairly robust zipper) and I'm on the fence about returning it for the fabric composition as the title was misleading (personally prefer natural

I can't say enough about this dress! It's absolutely beautiful in person, and the fit is so incredibly flattering! The fabric has a bit of texture to it, and a very slight sheen, so it's interesting without being busy, and dressy without being overly fancy. Classic and elegant
This dress is absolutely gorgeous, as soon as I saw it was available on the Anthro site I overnighted it for a wedding I was a guest at that same weekend. I would say this runs true to size, I am 5'9 34B 125LBS and I got a size 2 and it fit beautifully. I rated the quality as average bc the first time I wore it out, the sitiching came loose and ripped on both sides under my arms, but Antho was quick to replace it! This is a classic and elegant dress that you will be sure to turn heads with!
