    Perfection…and, yes, size down.
This dress fit me like a glove. I'm not alone, either - check out the rave reviews posted by women of all ages, shapes and sizes! I am 5'4", 125 pounds, 34D, very short-waisted and athletic but curvy. I am normally a size 6, but finally settled on the size 4 regular after trying the 6P. It hits about 2-3 inches below my knees, which is both flattering and a pleasant alternative to my other dresses, which are either mini or full-length. The smaller size just feels better and I think the closer fit helps the lace detail pop a bit more. The nude colored slip/lining also alleviated any modesty issues I had with respect to the "peekaboo" detailing throughout the bodice. It might look like you're showing a lot of skin, but it certainly doesn't feel like it once you're wearing it. It's classy and it's sexy, which is usually more than you can ask of a dress at this price point. Bonus: my flesh-colored bra is virtually undetectable, which is key given my cup size and the fact that I have 2 young kids.

    My go-to dress!
I was at the Seattle Anthro and not having any luck with finding a dress for my class reunion. I came across this dress in 12P as a return on the lost & found rack. I tried many other dresses on that day, but after this one, I was sold! It was a bit pricey for me, but trust me, it has been well worth it. I was worried about the lace tearing/being too fragile, but it has held up wonderfully with no problems. So classy and it fits me just about perfectly. It hits me just at the middle of my knee. Don't let the price deter you, it is well worth it! For reference, I am not a tiny lady -- 5'2", 165lb, 36DD.

I would get married in this dress.
I went into my local Anthro store with my sister looking for something else, but saw this dress and had to "just try it on" in white. I'm normally a size 6, but there was only a 4 available in the store. I wasn't planning on purchasing, but once it was on, I didn't want to take it off. I happily paid full price, and my sister and I continued to gush about this dress the entire 20 minute drive home from the store. This dress is GORGEOUS. Even though you're completely covered, it's so figure-flattering and sexy. Definitely a head-turner. I've worn this twice and received many compliments from friends and strangers. It is expensive, but the quality is so good that I see it as an investment. It does run a bit big, so if you're in between sizes, size down. I'm sure a size 6 (if I had been patient enough to wait) would have been fine, but I liked the extra "va-va-voom" I got with the 4. I love the dress in white and am tempted to get it in another color as well! For reference, I am 5'5", 34C, and usually a size 6.

    Conversation Topic
The work on this dress is out of this world. It was a conversation topic at dinner! One of the reason I always choose this cut is because I have a very short torso. The dress comes with a black dress. I choose to not wear it. I am in between two sizes 6-8. I have an “Athletic” shape. Tops I am an 8 and bottoms 6, so I bought both sizes, the 8 was loose and the 6 needed me to hold perfect posture. So be prepare to hold your head high! You’ll look prettier. The dress length of course fit me longer than the model – but nothing that a pair of nude high heel doesn't fix. The neckline will look just like in the picture... it didn't look flattering on me with the zipper all the way up. Which is just perfect paired up with tiny jewelry. What I didn't like (and you can’t see it very good in the picture) is that the above the shoulder there is a piece of fabric – same one from the back section – that in my opinion is too wide. The sleeves on me looked very puffy– I had to “shorten” those too. I am 5’5. 135, 34D, Short torso, Long legs, skinny shaped arms

    MAGNIFICENT!
I agonized long and hard before buying this dress. Am I glad I finally did! It's spectacular. Absolutely beautiful. My experience of the sizing is different from that of other reviewers: I'm 5'7, 135 pounds, measurements 38-30-38, and I bought an 8. It fits perfectly on top, and is a bit roomy in the waist and hips. According to the Size Chart, I should wear a 10. But that would've been way too big. I've also had this experience with Anthro skirts recently; 8's fit fine and are in fact even a little loose. Hope this helps others decide which size to buy. Again, this is a gorgeous dress.

First purchase from Anthro, live in Australia
I fell in love with this dress .. Not sure how I even came across it, maybe ad on Facebook but I knew I wanted it for my 30th wedding anniversary.. I had to wait as it was on back order. Our sizing is different in Australia, I was unsure whether to order the 2P or 4P. I went with the 4P .. It is a little large but comfortable..there is no give in this dress so you need room when you sit etc. I have 2 week to wait until I get to,wear it. Can't wait. I actually like it with the belt, it cinches my waist in. Didn't think I would like it with the belt but it works for me.

    A masterpiece!
Why, oh WHY did this have to arrive just in time for Christmas? LOL I saw this astonishing dress just after my Carismma Sheath dress, in black, arrived. At first I thought this version was too close, but irl, it's in a class of it's own. You can barely tell from the photo, but the fabric on the bodice and skirt are different. The top has tiny circles with dots of red. The placket is also a different pattern, but instead of the hot mess I expected, the whole thing works to make you look like the most stunning creature in the room. Very, very flattering on most body types, but I'd dare say especially on the hourglass girl. This is the dress I would wear to dinner, to weddings, to business meetings with a jacket, to tea, to lunch with the girls, where wouldn't I wear this? Fit is tts, much like the Carismma sheath. I pray that it doesn't sell out before I can get my hands on one! Or, maybe, just maybe, it will show up under the tree!

    Simply Gorgeous
I have admired this dress forever and when I received a birthday discount code I decided to give it a try. I am not disappointed. The dress is beautiful...a classic! It is also seasonless as I will be wearing it to a spring event with nude pumps. It is well-made and the pictures do not show the intricate details in the design and materials of the dress.

    Even better than I hoped!
I visited this dress many times on the website, hoping it would go on sale, but finally decided to bit the bullet and pay full price. Prior reviews listed its unique detail and surprises that made this dress a conversation piece (and why I love Anthropologie!) and it didn't disappoint! It is form fitting and sexy in a smart-girl way, but it also possesses an artistic/couture quality that renders it timeless. I am 5'6 and a 35" bust/128 lbs and went with the 4p, as I prefer the hem to hit me at or above the knee. The fabric has stretch, which allows it to fit to your body, not bulge and buckle as a stiff fabric would do. I also cut the belt loops and moved belt/ribbon down so it would hit my waist, as the petite waist was higher- no problem at all. I am SOOO happy I splurged and know this will be a 'go to' dress for years to come.

    Love this dress!
I was searching for a dress to wear to a wedding. I saw this dress on the rack and didn't think it would look good on me because of the thick material and pattern so I didn't bother trying it on. While I was trying on other dresses in the dressing room, I explained to the salesperson that none of the dresses I tried on were working out. She pulled some dresses and this dress was one of them. I was skeptical at first, but once I had it on I loved it. The cut is flattering and the thick material is a little more forgiving if you're trying to hide a few extra pounds. Additionally, the design of the dress helps cinch everything in. The hidden pockets are an added bonus. The design at the waist adds a whimsical touch. I do agree with other reviewers regarding the zipper. The zipper doesn't go far enough down if you're trying to step into the dress and have any hips. Other than the zipper issue, the dress is perfect. I'm so glad the salesperson pulled it for me because I would have never chosen it for myself. Dress was true to size. I'm 5'1 and 125 lbs with a small bust.

Love this Dress - Well Made!
I picked up this dress in size 8 and it fits so nice, well made compared to other Anthro dresses I have observed over the past year or so. The fabric is nice medium weight cotton blend twill and holds its shape, a plus it is lined and true to size based on other Anthro dresses of the past that were a size 8 - for my frame. I do find the front is a little low and the crack of my chest shows, so for me, for work, I will need to wear a think navy blue cami. Another plus is the pockets and they are positioned in the right place for me. The attached belt panel is a nice varied shades of pink, purple and orange stripes which would be a nice compliment to a colored shoe in those shades. I normally don't buy full prices Anthro clothes for the next season before the season starts, but with the dress promo and the fact this dress is well made and compared to other priced dresses elsewhere this was a win win purchase. I am 34DD chest, 140 pounds and 5'4 inches in height and the 8 fit perfectly. the length on me was about the length on the model but not so shortI would feel uncomfortable for work wear.

    Structured Perfection
I saw this dress for a while and passed because of the structure. On Saturday my size was the only one left so I decided it was fate. THANK GOD. It is structured, and the fabric is a bit stiff so it hold his shape with no wrinkling (no problem with comfort, though). What's amazing to me is the front: it has 2 pockets (that you can't even tell have a car key or phone in them when full) that somehow add a slimming effect. All too often those pockets contribute to the pouch look. The detail at the waist really is nice, it lends the look of a belt and shows off the waist nicely. I think that even if you have a lesser-curve, this would create a curve for you. It has a maroon-ish stripe in it as well as an ink. This detail was another reason I had passed, though, because at first glance I thought it could make breathing difficult, especially when sitting (I hate those dresses!). NOPE. The only issues I have with this dress are the zipper (really, Maeve? $168 and you have to use the crappiest plastic zipper?), which I think will need replacing (um, probably because I'm going to wear this dress every other day!) and that it is a little weird when you sit down, it is shows a lot of leg and the pocket area in the front balloons. I had to be creative. Also, I typically wear a XS/S top and a 4 bottom, this dress I needed the 6 and I think that is due to the stiffer fabric that doesn't stretch. I wore it to church for the first time yesterday and got a million compliments, after church I was out and about with my girls all day and was comfortable. I wore espadrilles and a cardigan but know it would look great jacketed with heels, too..I think I will wear it to a country club boat show I have to represent my company at in May, it's that versatile. I LOVE this dress.

    Classy
This dress is the definition of class and elegance! The sheath shape gives it a very ladylike style. The top portion hugs the bust perfectly and the bottom part is straight like a pencil skirt. I usually go for fit and flare dresses, but I was drawn to the gorgeous print and vivid colours, which, in store, looked exactly like the model shot. I'm 5'2, 34C and usually between 0 and 2. I ended up buying the 0 but hesitated for a long time for the 2 because although the top was perfect, the waist was slightly tight. I recommend you try it in store, otherwise, if it isn't possible, you should stick to your normal Maeve dress size. The dress hits approximately 1 inch above my knee in the regular size. The material is 97% crisp cotton, 3% spandex. The cotton has a sateen like touch, which makes the dress look a bit more dressy than casual. And the dress has two front pockets!!! Was is there not to love? As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was going home with me! Definitely a beautiful dress that can be worn with heels at events or at work with a blazer thrown over.

    Perfect Spring dress!
I bought this for a mother/son dance I plan on going to in May. This dress is lovely and fits true to size but I agree with other reviews that this dress is best for a larger bust. Design is classic and has a modern vintage vibe to it. Also love the pockets!

    gorgeous!
This dress is absolutely stunning in person! Saw it online and thought it would be great as a day-after brunch for our upcoming wedding... Shockingly it is even more stunning in person. Flattering in all the right ways and the side pockets just make it even more unique. I can not wait to wear this dress!
