    Perfection…and, yes, size down.
This dress fit me like a glove. I'm not alone, either - check out the rave reviews posted by women of all ages, shapes and sizes! I am 5'4", 125 pounds, 34D, very short-waisted and athletic but curvy. I am normally a size 6, but finally settled on the size 4 regular after trying the 6P. It hits about 2-3 inches below my knees, which is both flattering and a pleasant alternative to my other dresses, which are either mini or full-length. The smaller size just feels better and I think the closer fit helps the lace detail pop a bit more. The nude colored slip/lining also alleviated any modesty issues I had with respect to the "peekaboo" detailing throughout the bodice. It might look like you're showing a lot of skin, but it certainly doesn't feel like it once you're wearing it. It's classy and it's sexy, which is usually more than you can ask of a dress at this price point. Bonus: my flesh-colored bra is virtually undetectable, which is key given my cup size and the fact that I have 2 young kids.

Firstly, for a $258 dollar dress I wish Anthro BOXED this dress for shipping, instead of wrapping it in tissue & sending it in a bag. With that said, this is a lovely dress, just not right for my shape and height. The lace detail is very attractive, and with the market overloaded with lace for spring right now, this dress's lace is quite different and very tasteful. The dress gives off a very classy and sexy look yet it is amazingly comfortable and fits your shape like a glove. But, the dress shipped to me appeared as if it was worn previously; a couple of the very tiny eye hooks were ripped out of their stitchings and the waist appeared stretched. I am very short torso'd so the lace detail in the chest area just didn't work, and I found the black too black. Unfortunately this is going back, but I would definitely consider another dress by this designer. Even tho it was tight fitting, it was incredibly comfortable--even sitting down! So bummed I have to continue looking for a dress for my nephew's wedding. I had hoped this was it.

    Elegant
I saw this dress when searching for something to wear to a formal event and immediately fell in love. The design was so gorgeous that I couldn't help but splurging. A lot of reviews said the dress ran large, so I purchased one in my normal size (4), and one in 0P. I am 5'4 and 108 lbs. I ended up returning the 4 because I was practically swimming in it! The 0P fit perfectly and accentuated my curves. I'm glad I ordered petite; the dress fell just at my knee while the regular went far below. The only negative comment I have is that it is very delicate material on the top half and heavy material on the bottom, so I'm terrified I'll accidentally rip it. Finding a good way to hang it was a bit of a challenge, but not a major problem. Other than that, I'm in love. Definitely worth the splurge for the perfect little black dress.

    Conversation Topic
The work on this dress is out of this world. It was a conversation topic at dinner! One of the reason I always choose this cut is because I have a very short torso. The dress comes with a black dress. I choose to not wear it. I am in between two sizes 6-8. I have an “Athletic” shape. Tops I am an 8 and bottoms 6, so I bought both sizes, the 8 was loose and the 6 needed me to hold perfect posture. So be prepare to hold your head high! You’ll look prettier. The dress length of course fit me longer than the model – but nothing that a pair of nude high heel doesn't fix. The neckline will look just like in the picture... it didn't look flattering on me with the zipper all the way up. Which is just perfect paired up with tiny jewelry. What I didn't like (and you can’t see it very good in the picture) is that the above the shoulder there is a piece of fabric – same one from the back section – that in my opinion is too wide. The sleeves on me looked very puffy– I had to “shorten” those too. I am 5’5. 135, 34D, Short torso, Long legs, skinny shaped arms

This dress is extremely unique and pretty
I love this dress. The design, quality and fit are perfect! I'm normally a size S, for this case I bought a 2P which fits me perfectly, just like it was tailored for me. I got a discount 25% when I bought this, but even without the discount, this dress worth every single penny. Grab it before it gone !

Don't let this one get away
I had no intention of buying this dress at full price - but I shouldn't have tried it on. It fits really well! I like the unique styling on the top - how it covers your shoulders rather than just being a "tank-styled" top. The style of the top was a little different on all size S in my store - the center piece of the bodice was mainly navy with a small green spot or spots. It didn't bother me too much though. At 5'5", the regular length will require that I wear heels, which is unfortunate, but I think the P would be too short if it's "perfect" for one of the other reviewers, who is 5'3". The empire waist of this dress hides a few sins, without being frumpy and without looking like it's doing any hiding. There is a nice flow to the skirt. The lining only comes to my knees - which was a little distracting but not enough to dissuade me from purchasing the dress. The colors are very vibrant - and I think this dress looks way better in person than it does on the model (and how many times can you say that??). The fact that the dress is washable was a must in my book - hopefully it holds up in the gentle cycle.

    Verda Maxi Dress
I absolutely love this dress! I am just under 5'3" and usually wear a size 2 or 4 and the small petite fits just fine. I probably could have gone to an XS because the fabric is stretchy, but I am keeping the small. The length hits me just at the bottom of my ankle so pretty much as shown on the model. I really like the design of the top of the dress and love the fact that I can wear a regular bra with it instead of having to wear a strapless. I am so happy with all of my Maeve dresses, but this one is my favorite!

    Long enough for tall girls
This dress is great. The fabric is really soft and comfortable. The colors are vibrant. There is a liner from the waistband to about the knee that lets the dress fall nicely, giving extra coverage for the hip and butt area. My favorite part is that it is a maxi dress long enough to reach the floor so i can wear flats or heels. It looks very cute with a jean jacket. I am 5'9" and the length is perfect for me. I got the medium, which is my regular size.

    Fun and Edgy
Gotta say I didn't recognize this online when I went looking to write a review. I almost passed it up in the store, as well, but it was facing the dressing room, I loved the "tribal" influence, and on a whim grabbed it "just to see". Big surprise how unique and flattering this is. On me it's a dress (5'1" 115 32DD) took the PXS/S and I plan to wear it that way with tights and booties. The front hit just above my knee with a slightly longer back. The top is not as loose on me as on the model and the bottom curves in slightly keeping it from being totally straight and shapeless. Will look great with the long two toned horn earrrings I bought at Athro last summer. Can't imagine it with boyfriend jeans, although it would probably be fine with skinnies. Although I usually look best in fit and flair, as I'm petite, but hourglass, I'm thrilled with this new look for me. Plan to wear it year 'round.

So happy I purchsed this dress
Received it this morning and so happy with it. True to size, looks great with tights and knee high boots, lovely and soft There are a few designers I like at Anthro...and this is one of them. Make this a must buy.

    Another winner by Tracy Reese!
I wasn't sure about this tunic/dress when I saw it online, but in person the shading and design is so unique and eye-catching, you find yourself picking it up! The super soft fabric blend has spandex which makes this dress feel so good on as well. Because of the reviews I originally got a small thinking that as a petite person the dress would be overwhelming. But, I found the sleeves were super tight, so I sized back to my usual medium, and the dress fits very nicely. I say dress, because at 5'3 the front is only slightly above the knees. I also have good skimming coverage over my chest and hips, unlike the smaller size which was too exact. Feels like I'm wearing a big sweatshirt, except it looks so chic! Pair with a low ankle bootie and leggings or bare legs in warmer areas.

I saw this dress in store and just had to try it on! I fell in love the second I put it on. The fabric is heavy enough that I can wear it with a cardigan and tights and be comfortable in the winter, yet it has the potential to be worn during fall, spring, and even on a cool summer day. I will say that if you are under 5'5" or so this dress may not work for you as the sides are rather long, and it does tend to run large, so if you're between sizes you may want to size down. The shape and flow of the dress is extremely flattering for just about every body type, and it looks great belted. Also the lace on this is lovely, but not too delicate as is such with some anthro products. Overall great product, I may even buy it in another color!

    Gorgeous!!!!
I got moss green and size medium. moss is rich and pretty color. Quite earthy of a feel and perfect with red lowlights and red lipstick to accent the color. The dress is very true to size and I don't think it runs large at all. The material is nice and lightweight, perfect for spring and fall. I agree the pictures don't do it justice. You must try on and see. The flow of dress is great. That is my favorite part of this dress. With the back gather insert, its fitted and then this excess material just collects itself in the most flattering way. I have tried dresses like this in the past (all sleeveless of course) and they just don't present themselves like this dress. This dress makes you feel good. It's a winner for sure.

    Perfect weekend dress!
I love everything about this dress, from the thick crinkly gauze, to the peek a boo lace at the neckline and back. The length is fine on petites, I'm 5'3 and nothing touches the floor, but I do think that the dress runs very large. I could have sized down, but I plan to wear thick belts most of the time. I bought the blue, which is more of a washed denim color than navy. This dress looks very polished and pulled together in a casual/chic sort of way. Can be worn with cowboy boots, or sandals or wedges. I'm wearing now with a drapey sweater and boots, but as soon as it warms up I can pull this on anytime I just want to be comfortable.
