I would own this dress in all three colors if I could! It's fantastic. It has a sleek, sophisticated fit that you can dress up or down, and it's incredibly comfortable. It is VERY fitted in the waist, but my waist is the smallest part of me, so I like that and look for it. I'm a 33-23-35, 5'5" tall, and the XS fits very comfortably on me. I love that it shows my figure but is still work appropriate. It's true that the fabric seems like it would pick easily, but I've been lucky so far. No cuddling my cats in this one. It's a little pricey, but I loved it so much that I didn't want to wait and pray to the Sales Corner Gods for it to show up in their realm. It probably will eventually, but I didn't want to risk having it sell out in my size. Worth the price tag for something I can wear so many ways for at least 3 seasons of the year, and is so comfy.
If you love A-line cut things and accentuating your waist, you need this dress.

I went to the store and tried on the dress in blue-- I saw the mauve color, but thought it may wash me out in the later winter months and I had no idea that green was an option. I was hesitant to try on the dress as it looked long (I am 5'3" and I tried it on in XXSP), but when I tried it on it looked perfect. It was stylish, but not too stylish. I could not justify spending $148.00 on the dress, so after much consideration I left without buying it.
However, this fit and style was so perfect I could not stop thinking about it. I went online and discovered the moss color and I was sold. I bought the dress immediately. The blue is gorgeous, but with my coloring I am hoping that the moss will look even better. I plan to wear this to work and to Christmas parties with suede booties.
The dress is fitted in the chest and arms area-- it is revealing in that sense. Otherwise, the waist down is very forgiving.

I don't find most midi dresses to be flattering, so I actually ordered this dress in petite sizing--and I'm glad I did. Now the skirt just touches the bottom of my knees, instead of cutting me off mid-calf and making me look short. The fabric is super stretchy and skims over all my curves. I love how I can dress it up or down depending on the situation, and when the dress went on sale I ended up buying all 3 original colors.
A word of caution, however--after a few wears and washes, the fabric going from under the armpits down to the waistband, running down the sides of my torso, has gotten very thin. I suspect it's due to my larger chest size, which can pull on the fabric weave and has often been a problem when I shop for Anthro dresses, but I'm still disappointed. Busty ladies should approach this one with some caution.
I agree with the positive comments of other reviewers. This dress is soft, comfortable, and pleasantly flattering. I like the high/low hem; the "high" part is about 4 inches above my knees. The longest part is mid-calf. The hemline is pretty much as shown on the model. To state the obvious, the key is to find the right size. For reference I am just under 5'9" and 148 lbs. I usually wear a medium, but found that the small actually had a better drape to it on me. A sales associate told me that the dress did tend to run a bit big. The sleeves were a little snug when rolled up, but not when rolled down. Do check to be sure that where the buttons are on the sleeves there is also a corresponding loop. I tried on one dress where a loop was missing. Also, this may be just me, but I paid attention to the symmetry of the pattern, particularly the collar and bodice. I was not so concerned about the rest of the dress, recognizing there will always be some asymmetry and that is actually part of the charm. This is one dress that I feel is best tried on in person. I tried on several before finding "the one".

Great cozy dress!
I love this dress. I'm an employee at Anthropologie and I bought this dress the minute we got it in stock. I tried it on in a Large, which I typically wear a Large, unless something runs smaller then I will size up to an XL. I will say after finally wearing it the other day I wish I tried on the Medium. There is a lot of fabric on this dress on the bottom, and I think the Medium would've fit my upper body a little better. But oh well, I still think the large is fine, just a little extra loose. I wore it with the sleeves unrolled, and I buttoned it all the way up (except for the top button) and layered three different necklaces with it just to spice it up a bit. Also I paired with it tan colored booties and my black leather jacket. It's a great transitional piece from Fall/Winter to Spring/Summer. I feel like the material is super light weight to be able to wear in the warmer months with flats or super strappy flat sandals would be cute too. If you are thinking of getting this dress I highly recommend it. It does fit more true to size, unless you have a smaller bust then you could go one size down if you want a slightly tighter fit in the upper body area.

In LOVE with this dress!!
I ordered this dress online in my normal size large. As soon as I pulled it from the package I knew it was going to be too big and it was VERY loose. So on a trip into Dallas I exchanged it for a medium, which fit perfectly! It was still nice and flowy! I know some people were saying this dress could be tight in the bust, but it wasn't for me. My bust measures 40" around. So I think the trick is to buy the dress to fit your bust. For reference, I typically wear a size 12, 158lbs, and 5'6".
The work on this dress is out of this world. It was a conversation topic at dinner!
One of the reason I always choose this cut is because I have a very short torso. The dress comes with a black dress. I choose to not wear it.
I am in between two sizes 6-8. I have an “Athletic” shape. Tops I am an 8 and bottoms 6, so I bought both sizes, the 8 was loose and the 6 needed me to hold perfect posture. So be prepare to hold your head high! You’ll look prettier.
The dress length of course fit me longer than the model – but nothing that a pair of nude high heel doesn't fix.
The neckline will look just like in the picture... it didn't look flattering on me with the zipper all the way up. Which is just perfect paired up with tiny jewelry.
What I didn't like (and you can’t see it very good in the picture) is that the above the shoulder there is a piece of fabric – same one from the back section – that in my opinion is too wide. The sleeves on me looked very puffy– I had to “shorten” those too.
I am 5’5. 135, 34D, Short torso, Long legs, skinny shaped arms

I just received this dress in the mail. I plan to wear it to an awards ceremony and also to a high-profile event, so for the price, it was well-worth it as I can wear it twice.
However, I would purchase this dress based on its beauty alone and would try to FIND an event to wear it to. It is just beautiful. The embroidery, the lace and the colors are outstanding. When I first laid eyes on it, it took my breath away. It is definitely one-of-a-kind and definitely a break from the normal, black dress (if that is what you are accustomed to.)
I would say this dress has an Asian flair to it, based on the floral design. This totally reminds me of my mother's wedding dress when she was married in Vietnam (from what I've seen in pictures :). I will say this dress is more on the fitted size rather than not, but if you can carry it off, then do it. I am 5'4", 118 lbs and bought the size 2, which was a good choice for me. I am not curvaceous and would say it was fitted more so on the lower half than top -- and you can use the zipper to adjust for other "assets," as shown in the picture. I am wearing the belt that it comes with, which I happen to like, as opposed to another reviewer. It's whatever works for you though!!! I have to say this is a wonderful purchase and I have no regrets :)

This dress is extremely unique and pretty
I love this dress. The design, quality and fit are perfect! I'm normally a size S, for this case I bought a 2P which fits me perfectly, just like it was tailored for me. I got a discount 25% when I bought this, but even without the discount, this dress worth every single penny. Grab it before it gone !
I'm tall with an ample chest and wide hips (hourglass type) -- so I bought this in an XL because I thought I would need the room and the length. However, there is a lot of stretch to this dress -- so I think I could have gotten away with a L. I'm not returning it though -- the larger size still works, and the stretch in the chest and hip areas makes it even more comfortable. The length is perfect -- not short for those of us with long legs. Also, it is lightly lined inside the dress to the knees. The dress is extremely comfortable and stylish. I love the design -- its JUST as it appears in the picture.

I saw this dress on the mannequin and had to try it on! So I just grabbed the first small and it just fell perfectly on my body. It ends a bit above the ankle, but I can deal with that. The only thing I would suggest to someone wanting to buy this dress is buy it in store!! Not online as each dress is a different pattern. Of course they chose the perfect pattern online, but the dress I tried on had majority pink at the top, so I swapped it for a pattern I loved! The dress looks much better in person too.

If you dig the dress when you see it, you will love it on. I'm convinced.
It's hella soft and so, so comfortable, it's flattering, and it has pockets! It's my dream maxi.
I'm 5'9 and usually wear a size 12, so I was worried the large might be snug or short, but it is neither. It's so stretchy that it forgives and flatters and did I already say comfortable??
I could curl up in one of those weird circle chairs and nap in it with no blanket! Or I could put on one of them vests like bangs o'quinn in the photo and be the loveliest girl at the next oyster roast. Basically this dress is my life now. Praise Dress.
Gotta say I didn't recognize this online when I went looking to write a review. I almost passed it up in the store, as well, but it was facing the dressing room, I loved the "tribal" influence, and on a whim grabbed it "just to see". Big surprise how unique and flattering this is. On me it's a dress (5'1" 115 32DD) took the PXS/S and I plan to wear it that way with tights and booties. The front hit just above my knee with a slightly longer back. The top is not as loose on me as on the model and the bottom curves in slightly keeping it from being totally straight and shapeless. Will look great with the long two toned horn earrrings I bought at Athro last summer. Can't imagine it with boyfriend jeans, although it would probably be fine with skinnies. Although I usually look best in fit and flair, as I'm petite, but hourglass, I'm thrilled with this new look for me. Plan to wear it year 'round.

Another winner by Tracy Reese!
I wasn't sure about this tunic/dress when I saw it online, but in person the shading and design is so unique and eye-catching, you find yourself picking it up! The super soft fabric blend has spandex which makes this dress feel so good on as well. Because of the reviews I originally got a small thinking that as a petite person the dress would be overwhelming. But, I found the sleeves were super tight, so I sized back to my usual medium, and the dress fits very nicely. I say dress, because at 5'3 the front is only slightly above the knees. I also have good skimming coverage over my chest and hips, unlike the smaller size which was too exact. Feels like I'm wearing a big sweatshirt, except it looks so chic! Pair with a low ankle bootie and leggings or bare legs in warmer areas.
I was looking for a dress for an upcoming wedding and needed something that would be conservative enough for church but would also go with boots for the reception (no heels on cobblestone floors). I picked out several Anthro dresses in the store, and grabbed this one to try on on a whim. After trying on about seven dresses, this is the one I went home with. It's got slightly thicker material, which is nice for unpredictable Texas early spring, and feels substantial but not heavy. It does run slightly large- I'm typically a medium pretty much everywhere I shop, but had to size down for this (for reference I'm 5'8" and about 150 lbs; the lady at the shop said this brand tends to run large). The colors are a little brighter than the picture shows, particularly the orange/pinkish blooms. It also has pockets- ones that are big enough to fit my hands all the way in. After I go to this wedding, I'll have a great dress for dressier work days and nights out when it's a little colder outside.

As an Anthro employee, I am completely in love with this dress. I am always a size 0 in anthro dresses, so xs dresses are usually a bit roomy on me, and rarely work. However, this dress is perfect. The quality is excellent. The weight is a tad heavy, but not too heavy. I will be able to wear this well in to spring. I wore it for the first time yesterday, and honestly lost track of the amount of compliments I got.

Beautiful dress, nice material, unique design, and fits like a glove. It's a great length for wearing to work or for wearing on the weekend. I also want to give two thumbs up to Anthropologie's customer service, who promptly sent me a second dress when the first one got lost in delivery.
I loved this dress in photos and on the hanger. I saw it online and was not disappointed when I found it in the store. I bought it in store as a possible dress to wear to my sister's summer casual "boho" style wedding. She also liked it. However it really did nothing for me once I had it on. I am 5'7" about 135lbs, got a size 6 (did not have a 4 to try, that may have worked, the 6 was not tight) and it made me look short and boxy. I read the other reviews about the tulle and was planning to remove it, but decided not to keep the dress. Even with the illusion of the tulle removed, I didn't like the way the bottom/skirt is gathered all the way around, it's still a bit poofy and kind of immature looking on me. I think the waist and top part are pretty in photos but again, were not flattering on my figure. If the top had looked pretty on me, I would have kept the dress but tried a petite size so it would fall at or just above the knee rather than just below (I think that made me look shorter and short legged). I think this dress would look best on someone with a small waist and long legs. The zippers are really hard, I needed help.

This is a really lovely dress. I am impressed with the quality - it has several layers (including a crinoline) and feels well made. I saw this dress online and then went into the store to try it on, I'm glad that I went into the store as it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It seems fancier in person and I plan to wear it to elope in. I usually wear an 8 or 10 in Anthro dresses and I took a 10 in this. I am 5'6 and it falls below my knee.

Beautiful dress, size up
This dress is absolutely gorgeous. The fabric is filmy and the detailing is fantastic. I'm very excited to wear it.
Two things to keep in mind:
1) This dress runs small. I'm usually a 6/8, and the 8 fit snugly (in fairness, I do have large ribs). If you're between sizes, I'd recommend sizing up.
2) There's tulle in the skirt, which surprised me when I tried it on. I didn't find it to be too voluminous, but it's definitely a bit puffier than it looks on the model.
3) I'm 5'6, and I found the petite worked well. It hit right above my knees.
