    Perfection…and, yes, size down.
This dress fit me like a glove. I'm not alone, either - check out the rave reviews posted by women of all ages, shapes and sizes! I am 5'4", 125 pounds, 34D, very short-waisted and athletic but curvy. I am normally a size 6, but finally settled on the size 4 regular after trying the 6P. It hits about 2-3 inches below my knees, which is both flattering and a pleasant alternative to my other dresses, which are either mini or full-length. The smaller size just feels better and I think the closer fit helps the lace detail pop a bit more. The nude colored slip/lining also alleviated any modesty issues I had with respect to the "peekaboo" detailing throughout the bodice. It might look like you're showing a lot of skin, but it certainly doesn't feel like it once you're wearing it. It's classy and it's sexy, which is usually more than you can ask of a dress at this price point. Bonus: my flesh-colored bra is virtually undetectable, which is key given my cup size and the fact that I have 2 young kids.

I would get married in this dress.
I went into my local Anthro store with my sister looking for something else, but saw this dress and had to "just try it on" in white. I'm normally a size 6, but there was only a 4 available in the store. I wasn't planning on purchasing, but once it was on, I didn't want to take it off. I happily paid full price, and my sister and I continued to gush about this dress the entire 20 minute drive home from the store. This dress is GORGEOUS. Even though you're completely covered, it's so figure-flattering and sexy. Definitely a head-turner. I've worn this twice and received many compliments from friends and strangers. It is expensive, but the quality is so good that I see it as an investment. It does run a bit big, so if you're in between sizes, size down. I'm sure a size 6 (if I had been patient enough to wait) would have been fine, but I liked the extra "va-va-voom" I got with the 4. I love the dress in white and am tempted to get it in another color as well! For reference, I am 5'5", 34C, and usually a size 6.

    Beautiful!
I purchased this dress, sight unseen, and was convinced that I would end up hating it, simply because I had built it up in my head based in the overwhelming number of positive reviews. Let me just say this: it lives up to the hype. Two things to note: 1) I feel it runs TTS, not large like a few people mention. I recently had a baby but purchased my regular size 4. Though I can zip the 4, I would not feel comfortable wearing it in public. It's too tight to look as classy as the dress should look. I am probably a size 6 right now. 2) The claps up the front are a design flaw. They serve no purpose and are visible (granted, the dress is a little small on me now so it pulls more than it should in the front. That being said, the claps shouldn't be there and the dress should just be sewn shut instead. I will likely sew a ribbon over the clasps, under the current ribbon detail, just to lessen their visibility. The ivory is gorgeous, and now I want it in black!

Bold color, bold design, TURNS HEADS!
I'm seeing an older man and as soon as I walked out in this he said, "STUNNING!'. When I say older man, I mean the type of sophisticated gentleman who is urbane and observes cocktail hour, a man who notices every detail, and if it passes his litmus test so effortlessly, my goodness, I may wear it everyday! I love the fabric, as always soft, just about wrinkle resisted, flows. The design on the fabric is played out perfectly to flatter any woman, and the for the busty woman, there's no need for a cami, they've got your cleavage covered, literally. The back is cut low, too, which is really nice (said older gentleman pointed that out, he said, 'it may just be me, and that I'm a swimmer, but the low back is a real turn on I think for men in general.') I can find nothing wrong with this dress, and well, everything right! In an effort to beg spring I wore this dress today, and I have OPI's Cajun Shrimp on my nails--HOLY COORDINATION (by accident)!

    In LOVE with this dress!
This dress is amazing! Yes, the price is high but it is WORTH it and you will feel like a million bucks wearing it. For reference, I'm 5'1", 118 lbs, average build, small (34A) chest. The XS Petite fits perfectly, with my flat sandals it just barely skims the floor. Coverage in the front doesn't gape, and so even when you bend over there is no sign of cleavage or bra (at least on me), the back as well doesn't come down so low that your bra is showing (though I think you could totally get away with not wearing a bra at all in this). The sleeves on me are true to the model; just barely a cap-sleeve over the shoulder. The fabric is amazing, not too light, not too heavy, and is just weighty enough to drape perfectly and move fluidly when you walk. The dress is lined from the empire waist to the knees with a navy blue slip (in the same fabric as the rest of the dress), in case that matters to anyone. The colors are bright and vibrant, and would look great on any skin tone. This will get a lot of wear from me, definitely worth the money!

    This dress is magical
Seriously, so magical that a few weeks after I bought it I bought another one! And one in black! Every single time I wear this dress somebody comments on how great I look. I'm busty and this dress perfectly accentuates my boobs without showing them off TOO much. It'll give you perfect definition in your waist without clinging around your stomach and hips which is a huge bonus in my book! Plus, it's the most comfortable thing EVER.

    A masterpiece!
Why, oh WHY did this have to arrive just in time for Christmas? LOL I saw this astonishing dress just after my Carismma Sheath dress, in black, arrived. At first I thought this version was too close, but irl, it's in a class of it's own. You can barely tell from the photo, but the fabric on the bodice and skirt are different. The top has tiny circles with dots of red. The placket is also a different pattern, but instead of the hot mess I expected, the whole thing works to make you look like the most stunning creature in the room. Very, very flattering on most body types, but I'd dare say especially on the hourglass girl. This is the dress I would wear to dinner, to weddings, to business meetings with a jacket, to tea, to lunch with the girls, where wouldn't I wear this? Fit is tts, much like the Carismma sheath. I pray that it doesn't sell out before I can get my hands on one! Or, maybe, just maybe, it will show up under the tree!

    Simply Gorgeous
I have admired this dress forever and when I received a birthday discount code I decided to give it a try. I am not disappointed. The dress is beautiful...a classic! It is also seasonless as I will be wearing it to a spring event with nude pumps. It is well-made and the pictures do not show the intricate details in the design and materials of the dress.

    Even better than I hoped!
I visited this dress many times on the website, hoping it would go on sale, but finally decided to bit the bullet and pay full price. Prior reviews listed its unique detail and surprises that made this dress a conversation piece (and why I love Anthropologie!) and it didn't disappoint! It is form fitting and sexy in a smart-girl way, but it also possesses an artistic/couture quality that renders it timeless. I am 5'6 and a 35" bust/128 lbs and went with the 4p, as I prefer the hem to hit me at or above the knee. The fabric has stretch, which allows it to fit to your body, not bulge and buckle as a stiff fabric would do. I also cut the belt loops and moved belt/ribbon down so it would hit my waist, as the petite waist was higher- no problem at all. I am SOOO happy I splurged and know this will be a 'go to' dress for years to come.

    very flattering, but runs large
I'm petite and basically a size 4 on top, but often have to size up to a 6 or even and 8 in a dress to fit my 32DD bust. I wasn't that impressed with the dress online, but after seeing it in the store decided to try a size 4 based on the reviews. To my amazement it was too big on top. It was too long from shoulder to waist and also too loose in the bust - something that never happens to me. The 4P was sold out online so the sales associated ordered a regular 2 for me. It's a bit snug in the waist, but bodice isn't too long and it fits through the bust, though it pulls just a bit in front. I was also surprised at how flattering it is. I have a larger waist and it makes me look like I have an hourglass figure. Although it's not a petite size, it isn't too long, and I love the pockets. I'm still keeping an eye out for the 4P and will definitely try it if it comes back in stock, but if not I'm keeping the 2. Based on my experience I'd say go down at least one size in this unless you're very long-waisted. I think this dress would be flattering on just about anyone and would definitely recommend it.

    Such a fun dress!
I ordered this dress online, but was unsure about the correct size... So I went with my "typical" size 10, because I don't like dresses to be tight. (5'6", 145 lbs, 36B, mostly size 10) straight out of the package, I LOVED the print and length! I tried it on and ... Something seemed to be off. The waistline was too low and bust too blousey and gapping. Being 5'6", I'm not technically a petite size, but I have very long legs and a short torso, hence the off fit of the bodice. I grabbed a handful of fabric from the shoulders and lifted the dress up some and ... WOW!!!! The waistline hit at the smallest part of my waist, the arm homes werent huge anymore, and the bust was a flattering fit! So, I checked online for a petite 10, but they were out of stock. However, I love this dress so much I had it altered to fit! Now it's PERFECT!! It seems like this may be the same issue with some of the other reviewers??

    Unexpectedly Awesome!
I never gravitate towards navy or even blue, and I usually don't like any kind of asymmetrical hemline on a dress or skirt, but I grabbed this and gave it a try. It is SUPER flattering and unusual yet versatile. I'm 140 pounds, 5'8, and curvy on the bottom with a TINY ribcage (I wear a 32 or even a 30 C bra), yet in pants/jeans I'm usually a 28 or 29. I grabbed a 0 regular off the rack (the only other sizes were too big) thinking it would never fit as I'm usually always a 4 in anthro dresses, and though snug, with some seduction, the side zipper made it up and it fit perfectly! The quality is good, it DOES NOT cling to fat butts or lumps and bumps, and sits perfectly on my curvy hips--super slimming. There is a lining on the bottom half which is always appreciated, and the pockets are perfectly placed and add detail and some texture. I'm super pumped with this dress, YES!

    Gorgeous, versatile dress.
I have been a long-time admirer of Anthropologie, but this is my first purchase. I love it so much, and can see myself wearing it to versatile occasions: a late summer wedding, a date on the boardwalk, the farmer's market, or even work with the right cardigan. The print is a bit more bold than what I usually wear, but the soft, earthy colours appeal to me. I'm a small/size 4 on top, and a 6 to 8 on bottoms. In dresses, I'm a 4 or 6. The hips on this dress are free, so I sized down to a 4. The sales clerk told me this dress was basically made for me (which was very sweet), but to be honestly I think it will be flattering on many shapes and sizes. I really love that the banding around the waist negates the need for a belt. My only wee concern is that the dress is polyester, and therefore won't breath as well as a natural fiber in the summer. However, I hope the flow of the skirt will still allow this to be comfortable on even the hottest day.

    Lovely
I bought this dress to wear to a wedding. I am usually a 4-6 because of my bust, but my waist is a 25/26. My bra size is 30 DDD, and I got this dress in a 2. I had just barely enough room for a strapless bra with no padding. I rarely find dresses that fit my waist/ribcage/bust all perfectly but this dress was pretty much a perfect fit. I would imagine if you have a smaller cup size you might have to wear a push up bra to fill in the top. I got SO many compliments on the dress and the pattern was just beautiful. The length was just about perfect for me, I'm 5'9.

    Great dress! Runs long.
I usually don't go for maxi dresses(me being 5'5#, but with this I made an exception. And I'm glad I did! The colors are just like they are in the picture, the dress is easy to get into, and it's overall very flattering to my figure (130lbs, 34B). The dress runs a bit long, but it fit everywhere else so I fixed the length with a pair of wedges. Overall, a really great buy!

    Love this dress!
I was searching for a dress to wear to a wedding. I saw this dress on the rack and didn't think it would look good on me because of the thick material and pattern so I didn't bother trying it on. While I was trying on other dresses in the dressing room, I explained to the salesperson that none of the dresses I tried on were working out. She pulled some dresses and this dress was one of them. I was skeptical at first, but once I had it on I loved it. The cut is flattering and the thick material is a little more forgiving if you're trying to hide a few extra pounds. Additionally, the design of the dress helps cinch everything in. The hidden pockets are an added bonus. The design at the waist adds a whimsical touch. I do agree with other reviewers regarding the zipper. The zipper doesn't go far enough down if you're trying to step into the dress and have any hips. Other than the zipper issue, the dress is perfect. I'm so glad the salesperson pulled it for me because I would have never chosen it for myself. Dress was true to size. I'm 5'1 and 125 lbs with a small bust.

    Beautiful dress!
I''d been keeping my eye out for something to wear to a wedding this summer. and was immediately drawn to this beautiful striped dress! I had been eying for a while until the previous dress promotion in February, and was so glad I finally decided to try it on then! I'm in love with the invisible pockets and perfectly matched seems on the dress, the fact that it's lined and the fabric has a good weight to it. However, like other reviewers mentioned this dress seems to run quite small. I'm 5'4", usually wear a size medium/8/10 and rather busty and needed a petite 12 (I was able to fit into a small Maeve wrap dress), so this definitely runs small. Also, like others mentioned, I also had a hard time with the short zipper, and due to its poor quality it's actually easier for me to put this dress on over my head than trying to zip it. It also bunches/creates humps in the back but I was able to look past that.

Love this Dress - Well Made!
I picked up this dress in size 8 and it fits so nice, well made compared to other Anthro dresses I have observed over the past year or so. The fabric is nice medium weight cotton blend twill and holds its shape, a plus it is lined and true to size based on other Anthro dresses of the past that were a size 8 - for my frame. I do find the front is a little low and the crack of my chest shows, so for me, for work, I will need to wear a think navy blue cami. Another plus is the pockets and they are positioned in the right place for me. The attached belt panel is a nice varied shades of pink, purple and orange stripes which would be a nice compliment to a colored shoe in those shades. I normally don't buy full prices Anthro clothes for the next season before the season starts, but with the dress promo and the fact this dress is well made and compared to other priced dresses elsewhere this was a win win purchase. I am 34DD chest, 140 pounds and 5'4 inches in height and the 8 fit perfectly. the length on me was about the length on the model but not so shortI would feel uncomfortable for work wear.
