I'm tall with an ample chest and wide hips (hourglass type) -- so I bought this in an XL because I thought I would need the room and the length. However, there is a lot of stretch to this dress -- so I think I could have gotten away with a L. I'm not returning it though -- the larger size still works, and the stretch in the chest and hip areas makes it even more comfortable. The length is perfect -- not short for those of us with long legs. Also, it is lightly lined inside the dress to the knees. The dress is extremely comfortable and stylish. I love the design -- its JUST as it appears in the picture.

I saw this dress on the mannequin and had to try it on! So I just grabbed the first small and it just fell perfectly on my body. It ends a bit above the ankle, but I can deal with that. The only thing I would suggest to someone wanting to buy this dress is buy it in store!! Not online as each dress is a different pattern. Of course they chose the perfect pattern online, but the dress I tried on had majority pink at the top, so I swapped it for a pattern I loved! The dress looks much better in person too.

If you dig the dress when you see it, you will love it on. I'm convinced.
It's hella soft and so, so comfortable, it's flattering, and it has pockets! It's my dream maxi.
I'm 5'9 and usually wear a size 12, so I was worried the large might be snug or short, but it is neither. It's so stretchy that it forgives and flatters and did I already say comfortable??
I could curl up in one of those weird circle chairs and nap in it with no blanket! Or I could put on one of them vests like bangs o'quinn in the photo and be the loveliest girl at the next oyster roast. Basically this dress is my life now. Praise Dress.
I had run into anthro to do a return and this dress caught my eye. Purple stripey dress with pockets. Had a few minutes so grabbed it to try on. I am 5', 120 lbs, 34B. I usually wear a small, 4 or 4P. Since the neck is small, I tried to pull this over my head and felt stuck. I pulled it off to check for a zipper. Nope. No zipper. Even turned the dress inside out to make sure. It's very tight to get on and I had to shimmy it down over my chest. Once on it is snug in the torso but not uncomfortable. The belt gives a defined waistline. The length on me was about 2 inches below my knees which I would usually avoid since it makes me look even shorter except the bell shape of the skirt, V pattern and weight seem to lengthen the look of the leg. I had on tall boots and it completed the retro look. Then it was time to take it off. Another shimmy up and off it came. Dress was very flattering on, but getting in and out was a lot of work. Ended up not buying it. I don;t always like to work that had getting in and out of clothes.

Love this dress - yes the fabric is a bit stiffer than I expected but that is what made it hold its shape. I never got so many compliments on a dress in my life - well, maybe on my wedding dress but that was 17 years ago...
It is super comfy, looks great, and hides just what you need to hide so that you look stunning.

comfortable, easy dress
I agree that the dress is a little stiff getting over the chest area but it stretches a hair and once on fits like a glove. Not for large chested women. Bonus is that it has pockets.
I love this dress. And it looks so cute on, and it is very comfy because it is lined on the inside. I think it is *very* overpriced, but I loved it so much that I kept it. I found it to be TTS.

I have been wanting a plaid dress and this one is perfect. The material on the outside has a gauze texture like it says, but the inside is a very soft/jersey type material. The dress runs small! I am between an XS and a S at Anthropologie, and I am very happy I ordered the S. This dress is also surprisingly flattering. I love the fit and overall I am very satisfied with the dress.
I love this dress and I hope the next size up fits! Since no one had reviewed this before me, I picked a size medium based on the reviews of other dresses of this brand saying they ran big. Unfortunately that was a mistake because this dress didn't even come close to zipping up in a size medium. I sent it back to exchange it for a large and hopefully that will fit!
Its really beautiful in person, although the price is a little steep for what it is. Had I not specifically been looking for this style I probably wouldn't have paid this much.
When I stepped out of the dressing room, the attendant beamed at me! Great color and built in elastic waist. This is such a cute dress on and very flattering for ladies with large bottoms and hips! Lots of compliments. Can wear with this belt or some other cute version from home. Love the sleeves, not tight (and I have healthy sized arms). The dress gives off a cool spring/summer chic look. The front is shorter than the back, by about two inches. My only drawback is that the front could be bit longer (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars given), however the cute double layer around the bottom more than makes up for, ugh - showing my knees! Had to have it!
