    Perfection…and, yes, size down.
This dress fit me like a glove. I'm not alone, either - check out the rave reviews posted by women of all ages, shapes and sizes! I am 5'4", 125 pounds, 34D, very short-waisted and athletic but curvy. I am normally a size 6, but finally settled on the size 4 regular after trying the 6P. It hits about 2-3 inches below my knees, which is both flattering and a pleasant alternative to my other dresses, which are either mini or full-length. The smaller size just feels better and I think the closer fit helps the lace detail pop a bit more. The nude colored slip/lining also alleviated any modesty issues I had with respect to the "peekaboo" detailing throughout the bodice. It might look like you're showing a lot of skin, but it certainly doesn't feel like it once you're wearing it. It's classy and it's sexy, which is usually more than you can ask of a dress at this price point. Bonus: my flesh-colored bra is virtually undetectable, which is key given my cup size and the fact that I have 2 young kids.

I would get married in this dress.
I went into my local Anthro store with my sister looking for something else, but saw this dress and had to "just try it on" in white. I'm normally a size 6, but there was only a 4 available in the store. I wasn't planning on purchasing, but once it was on, I didn't want to take it off. I happily paid full price, and my sister and I continued to gush about this dress the entire 20 minute drive home from the store. This dress is GORGEOUS. Even though you're completely covered, it's so figure-flattering and sexy. Definitely a head-turner. I've worn this twice and received many compliments from friends and strangers. It is expensive, but the quality is so good that I see it as an investment. It does run a bit big, so if you're in between sizes, size down. I'm sure a size 6 (if I had been patient enough to wait) would have been fine, but I liked the extra "va-va-voom" I got with the 4. I love the dress in white and am tempted to get it in another color as well! For reference, I am 5'5", 34C, and usually a size 6.

    Beautiful!
I purchased this dress, sight unseen, and was convinced that I would end up hating it, simply because I had built it up in my head based in the overwhelming number of positive reviews. Let me just say this: it lives up to the hype. Two things to note: 1) I feel it runs TTS, not large like a few people mention. I recently had a baby but purchased my regular size 4. Though I can zip the 4, I would not feel comfortable wearing it in public. It's too tight to look as classy as the dress should look. I am probably a size 6 right now. 2) The claps up the front are a design flaw. They serve no purpose and are visible (granted, the dress is a little small on me now so it pulls more than it should in the front. That being said, the claps shouldn't be there and the dress should just be sewn shut instead. I will likely sew a ribbon over the clasps, under the current ribbon detail, just to lessen their visibility. The ivory is gorgeous, and now I want it in black!

    Conversation Topic
The work on this dress is out of this world. It was a conversation topic at dinner! One of the reason I always choose this cut is because I have a very short torso. The dress comes with a black dress. I choose to not wear it. I am in between two sizes 6-8. I have an “Athletic” shape. Tops I am an 8 and bottoms 6, so I bought both sizes, the 8 was loose and the 6 needed me to hold perfect posture. So be prepare to hold your head high! You’ll look prettier. The dress length of course fit me longer than the model – but nothing that a pair of nude high heel doesn't fix. The neckline will look just like in the picture... it didn't look flattering on me with the zipper all the way up. Which is just perfect paired up with tiny jewelry. What I didn't like (and you can’t see it very good in the picture) is that the above the shoulder there is a piece of fabric – same one from the back section – that in my opinion is too wide. The sleeves on me looked very puffy– I had to “shorten” those too. I am 5’5. 135, 34D, Short torso, Long legs, skinny shaped arms

    Beautiful Dress for Petites
I am 5'0", 100lbs, 34B and ordered the size 0P. I originally got the 2P but it was a little too loose so I decided to exchange it for the 0P. The 0P is now a little tight (too bad that there's no in between!) but I am going to keep it at this size. This dress is absolutely beautiful and it doesn't need to be altered for the petite sizing. I think I prefer it without the black belt because it shows off the design of the dress. Since the back of the dress has a low scoop design I think the dress would like great with your hair up. There is a sewed in nude lining for anyone wondering if the mesh part was actually see through - but it's not!

Breathtaking dress, until I walked in it
This dress is truly a work of art. I thought about it and thought about it and read every single review before ordering. It looks as though it could be busy with the mix of fabrics, but it works! It has a "Chinoisserie" inspired look. I wanted so much to make this dress work, I tried it in 3 different sizes, but to no avail. My normal size for a Byron Lars dress 6P was a good fit. The problem was that when I walked in it, it creased across the front just under the zipper. I has nothing to do with clinging, since it is lined, plus I tried it on with a slip. I think the creasing has to do with where the bottom of the zipper which is stiff falls on my body. If I were to wear it and not walk, it would be beautiful, but for such a pricey garment, it should also "move" well. Unfortunately, I'll be returning it. I am actually surprised no one else mentioned this flaw.

    A masterpiece!
Why, oh WHY did this have to arrive just in time for Christmas? LOL I saw this astonishing dress just after my Carismma Sheath dress, in black, arrived. At first I thought this version was too close, but irl, it's in a class of it's own. You can barely tell from the photo, but the fabric on the bodice and skirt are different. The top has tiny circles with dots of red. The placket is also a different pattern, but instead of the hot mess I expected, the whole thing works to make you look like the most stunning creature in the room. Very, very flattering on most body types, but I'd dare say especially on the hourglass girl. This is the dress I would wear to dinner, to weddings, to business meetings with a jacket, to tea, to lunch with the girls, where wouldn't I wear this? Fit is tts, much like the Carismma sheath. I pray that it doesn't sell out before I can get my hands on one! Or, maybe, just maybe, it will show up under the tree!

    Simply Gorgeous
I have admired this dress forever and when I received a birthday discount code I decided to give it a try. I am not disappointed. The dress is beautiful...a classic! It is also seasonless as I will be wearing it to a spring event with nude pumps. It is well-made and the pictures do not show the intricate details in the design and materials of the dress.

    Even better than I hoped!
I visited this dress many times on the website, hoping it would go on sale, but finally decided to bit the bullet and pay full price. Prior reviews listed its unique detail and surprises that made this dress a conversation piece (and why I love Anthropologie!) and it didn't disappoint! It is form fitting and sexy in a smart-girl way, but it also possesses an artistic/couture quality that renders it timeless. I am 5'6 and a 35" bust/128 lbs and went with the 4p, as I prefer the hem to hit me at or above the knee. The fabric has stretch, which allows it to fit to your body, not bulge and buckle as a stiff fabric would do. I also cut the belt loops and moved belt/ribbon down so it would hit my waist, as the petite waist was higher- no problem at all. I am SOOO happy I splurged and know this will be a 'go to' dress for years to come.

    Can't wait to wear!
Loved this from the moment I saw it. I am slender, but curvy. I took a medium and a small in the dressing room with me as I can easily be either size. I tend to try on the larger size first, but when I held it up, it looked way too wide so I skipped it and went for the small. It fit me just like the model. So unlike many of the other reviews, I think this runs slightly large. From the front, the waist tucks in and creates a nice silhouette, but from the back, it's a little more "bag" like. Maybe it's not the most flattering in the world from the back, but I don't mind it and I wear what I like and don't think about what others might say. It felt very comfortable. It is on the shorter side, but I can still pull it off for my office job. Super cute for summer, office to dinner, etc. Also will be perfect to throw on for errands or anything else on the weekend. I can already tell this will be a popular dress for me this summer! I highly recommend it!

    SO CUTE
I wore this recently paired with knee-high black gladiator sandals and I felt like quite the fashionista! I am 5'4 with 34D and I bought a small and it fits perfectly. LOVE the pockets!

    Super cute LBD
purchased this dress in size L, and the fit is pretty generous. I never thought i could actually fit into dresses of this brand! ha! anyway, the fabric is low maintenance, which i like. it has pockets and a word of caution, it is short. so beware tall ladies. i am so glad i got a regular L and not an LP and i'm only 5'3.5". for reference i generally wear a size 14. measurements are 42-32-42 and this dress fit great, have worn it a few times and received my fair share of complements. it lends itself to an infinite selection of accessories, which makes this dress so versatile. My only issue with the dress is that it forms a weird poof on the back. but i can overlook that because it's so cute from the front! measurements of L from underarm to underarm is 24". from underarm to hem 24.5"

Stripes & Flowers for spring - FTW!
I saw this dress online & loved the colors/pattern. Went to my local anthro to check it out & despite that fact that I'm usually a 0P/00P in anthro dresses, I decided to try on the regular 0. So glad I did too! The length was perfect - the shortest sections hit just below my knee (I'm 5'0") and would be just right when seated. I imagine the petite to possibly be a little too revealing. It hugged my hips nicely & the top filled out well (I'm 30DD). I think the petite may have been too tight & prevented me from fully rotating my shoulders. The only issue I had with the top was since it's double layered (nice), the in-seam at the bust almost gives a pointy Madonna-esque look. I figured with some steaming I could flatten those out....also the cashier had just bought the same dress & said she steamed it for the same reason which helped, along with wearing a more push-up type bra. Beautiful dress - excited to wear it to a few spring weddings!

    Looks better in person
Size ref: 5'1, 125 lbs, 26.5 inch waist, short waisted Size ordered: 2P When I first saw this dress online I really didn't think much of it, but my mind quickly changed as soon as I saw bloggers wearing it. The petite sizing is perfect for me - any longer and I would look stumpy. The fabric is nice and light, but it is a bit wrinkly. The one thing that is frustrating is the zipper; it keeps getting stuck on the fabric when trying to zip it up, so it jams easily. I have so many stripes in my wardrobe, but this piece is definitely unique!

    Serendipity!
I have been desperately searching for a dress to wear to an event in a week, and ventured to my local Anthro in hopes of finding something and also taking advantage of the 20% dress discount. Enter this perfect number! It fits exactly as I had hoped it would--fitted through the torso, nipping in at the smallest point of my waist and flaring out in a fun flirty and twirly skirt. The woman in the dressing room brought me some open-toe black boots to try on with it and the whole look is PERFECTION. I'll layer my cropped black leather jacket with it till the weather warms but I love how versatile, comfortable and put-together the whole look is. Plus the booties and leather jacket toughen it up a bit. A few quick product notes: I am a stickler for detail and noticed a few hanging threads. No big deal but I'm a detail person. Also, if you have any kind of tummy, this dress will definitely emphasize it because of the stripes and construction. I am hyper aware of this issue as I am a year out from my last baby, and have only recently felt comfortable wearing things that are more body-con. I can also see why some reviewers felt this ran small--I am smaller chested and narrower on top so my regular Anthro 4 fit great. With a push-up bra the darts fit nicely. If I had been even a few weeks back when I was still carrying a bit more weight I probably would've opted for the 6, but in order for this dress to shine it really does need to be fitted on top.
