This dress fit me like a glove. I'm not alone, either - check out the rave reviews posted by women of all ages, shapes and sizes!
I am 5'4", 125 pounds, 34D, very short-waisted and athletic but curvy. I am normally a size 6, but finally settled on the size 4 regular after trying the 6P. It hits about 2-3 inches below my knees, which is both flattering and a pleasant alternative to my other dresses, which are either mini or full-length. The smaller size just feels better and I think the closer fit helps the lace detail pop a bit more.
The nude colored slip/lining also alleviated any modesty issues I had with respect to the "peekaboo" detailing throughout the bodice. It might look like you're showing a lot of skin, but it certainly doesn't feel like it once you're wearing it. It's classy and it's sexy, which is usually more than you can ask of a dress at this price point. Bonus: my flesh-colored bra is virtually undetectable, which is key given my cup size and the fact that I have 2 young kids.

Classy, Sexy & A True Head-Turner
This dress is sure to solicit compliments. The intricate lace detail is beautiful, and the nude slip underneath gives just enough risque appeal, but it's still classy. It's extremely versatile - I can wear this on a date night, or at a work cocktail event, or a winter evening wedding. Works with or without tights.
The only downside for me is that the clips on the front can come apart easily - if you plan on dancing in this dress, beware! I'm just very conscious of this and keep my moves to a two-step when I dance. Also - this dresses nude is complimenting on all shades - it compliments my chocolate brown skin, and the model looks great too!

I would get married in this dress.
I went into my local Anthro store with my sister looking for something else, but saw this dress and had to "just try it on" in white. I'm normally a size 6, but there was only a 4 available in the store. I wasn't planning on purchasing, but once it was on, I didn't want to take it off. I happily paid full price, and my sister and I continued to gush about this dress the entire 20 minute drive home from the store. This dress is GORGEOUS. Even though you're completely covered, it's so figure-flattering and sexy. Definitely a head-turner. I've worn this twice and received many compliments from friends and strangers. It is expensive, but the quality is so good that I see it as an investment. It does run a bit big, so if you're in between sizes, size down. I'm sure a size 6 (if I had been patient enough to wait) would have been fine, but I liked the extra "va-va-voom" I got with the 4. I love the dress in white and am tempted to get it in another color as well!
For reference, I am 5'5", 34C, and usually a size 6.
So I saw this online and KNEW I had to try this on.
I normally wear a size 12, but it wasn't available so tried on the 10 which fit me like a glove. Now here's what you need to know. I'm very short waisted AND have long legs, so this dress hits me right at my waist. I know I have an slightly different body shape than the norm so again TRY THIS ON.
Now here's the biggest con - the top is super fitted, so you will always need assistance to get the zipper up and down all the way. There's just zero give, which is why it can fit like a glove, but I even tried on a 14 and there was no way I was going to take a chance and possibly rip the dress.
I have broad shoulders so I've worn dresses like this before, and honestly it's so rare to find one that fits and flatters like this that I'll take this small con over the fit.
So for me this is definitely a keeper...but it won't fit everyone the way it fits me.
Definitely try a size or two, and also note that the pattern is different for each dress.

The pictures do not do this dress justice. The print caught my eye in the store, and I grabbed it not thinking much of it. I liked the soft feel of the material and the print, bu the flowing asymmetric cut of the bottom of the dress is what gives it the wow factor. I had to wear it to work the next day because I loved it so much when I tried it on. It's very figure flattering, and fits very well. I'm 5'6", 145 lbs, athletic build. Usually wear b/w a 4 or 6 in Anthro, and the 4 fits well. It's flirty and fun, but formal enough for work attire. Could prob transition to night time with a fun belt as shown in the pics, and with the right shoes. The compliments from others keep coming. This is an effortless stunner.

Great fall dress
I found that this dress fit me TTS or even ran slightly large. I usually wear an 8/10 and the 8 worked for me. The ten almost worked but it didn't fit at the waist as nicely. The 8 is snug on my arms but not to the point where its a problem. The color is definitely not a true black but more of a dark navy. It is a very blue based black. I am 5'8" and have a very long torso but the waist didn't bother me even though it sit higher. I probably would have liked it a little better if the waist hit me a little lower but I suppose I'm used to it because dresses never quite hit me right in the hips/waist. This reason is why I end up belting almost every dress I own. There isn't really any stretch to the fabric and it is pretty structured up top, limiting mobility so if that kind of thing drives you crazy then this dress is not for you. Overall, I'm happy I bought this dress. It will transition nicely to fall and looks nice with tall boots and booties.
Why, oh WHY did this have to arrive just in time for Christmas? LOL I saw this astonishing dress just after my Carismma Sheath dress, in black, arrived. At first I thought this version was too close, but irl, it's in a class of it's own. You can barely tell from the photo, but the fabric on the bodice and skirt are different. The top has tiny circles with dots of red. The placket is also a different pattern, but instead of the hot mess I expected, the whole thing works to make you look like the most stunning creature in the room. Very, very flattering on most body types, but I'd dare say especially on the hourglass girl. This is the dress I would wear to dinner, to weddings, to business meetings with a jacket, to tea, to lunch with the girls, where wouldn't I wear this? Fit is tts, much like the Carismma sheath. I pray that it doesn't sell out before I can get my hands on one! Or, maybe, just maybe, it will show up under the tree!

Gorgeous, tailored and unique
I wore this to a wedding and got rave reviews. It is lined with a flesh-colored 'corset' that really gives you a gorgeous shape. It hit just below the knee on me #I am 5'4"# so was perfect for a special occaion. It was very comfy as well. Absolutely recomend it!
I bought a size 2 - I am about 120 lbs and it fit perfectly.

Even better than I hoped!
I visited this dress many times on the website, hoping it would go on sale, but finally decided to bit the bullet and pay full price. Prior reviews listed its unique detail and surprises that made this dress a conversation piece (and why I love Anthropologie!) and it didn't disappoint! It is form fitting and sexy in a smart-girl way, but it also possesses an artistic/couture quality that renders it timeless. I am 5'6 and a 35" bust/128 lbs and went with the 4p, as I prefer the hem to hit me at or above the knee. The fabric has stretch, which allows it to fit to your body, not bulge and buckle as a stiff fabric would do. I also cut the belt loops and moved belt/ribbon down so it would hit my waist, as the petite waist was higher- no problem at all. I am SOOO happy I splurged and know this will be a 'go to' dress for years to come.
On the hanger this looks like a very long, thick poncho. But try it on - look out! Gorgeous! Fitting in the shoulders, neck and upper torso are wonderful. Under the arms and around the chest are surprisingly form fitting and garment frames the body nicely. I was nervous about the photos because the dress looks quite short. However, the sides of the dress frame and drape around the legs and make you feel very covered, with a hint of leg. In the photo the model looks caught in the wind, which I'm sure could happen, but by and large this will not be a problem for those that are concerned about length. This dress can be worn with ankle boots, over the knee boots (which I will probably do) or even strappy flat sandals during seasonal changes. Another important feature: this sweater "material" is NOT itchy! My skin is quite sensitive to some blends, and this was very comfy! A must have for my closet!

This dress will get you noticed. It's comfortable, very warm for a cold evening, and pairs great with anything from high heels to boots. First time I wore it, I had people apologizing for staring but wanting to know where on earth I got that dress. It is unique and so fun to wear!

Pretty, stylish, and so comfortable!
After reading the reviews and speaking to a sales associate on the phone, I intended to order the petite xs and just wanted to check it out in person first. It is just as lovely in person. I tried on the regular xs and it fit perfectly. I am 5'5 and about 120lbs. I may take it in about an inch on the side seams, just to make it a little more fitted on top, but I wouldn't want this dress to be any shorter as it is quite short on the sides hitting high up on the thigh. The quality is beautiful and the colors are just as shown in the pics.
Be aware that the slip underneath is VERY SHORT, but the knit towards the bottom of the dress is not as open as the top so nothing is revealed through it. I mention this so you don't expect to see the slip like on the model in the pics. The slip JUST covers my butt.
Another Maeve dress, this is cut almost exactly the same at the navy polka dot dress the designer produced this season. I would say it runs a tad smaller than the other dress and thus is a little more TTS. Another reason I would venture to call this true to size, is I don't feel that the lace would look as classic if the dress were too tight. The dress has wonderful stretch, so I think it would still be very comfortable, but I think it might pull the lace some and take away from the product.
The lining is a great wine type color and the dress has pockets also lined with this fabric which I really love. Also, the lining helps the dress work as a transitional piece that doesn't look to "white" or "summery" for the winter. It also avoids looking too bridal. I'm 5'2" and 110 lbs and I went with the XS which hits right at my knees. I think the XSP would have worked, but I really loved the length of the regular size.
Flattering, comfy, and well-made. As with anything lace, it is delicate so jewelry after putting it on. I find it worth the full price and I don't think it will make it to the sale rack.

I wasn't sure about this dress when I saw it in person but I loved it in the picture so I thought I might as well try it on. It fits so well! No gaping at the bust area, no bumps or gathering in the back. I am 5'3" and the length was just about at my knee. It might have been better a little shorter but not enough that I am going to bother hemming it. The waist area fit really well and was very flattering as I sort of have a straight waist. This accentuated and flattered my waist. I was debating ordering the petite since you can't get petite sizing in the store but since this one was great, I am going to stick with it. I tried on about 6 other dresses and this was the best fit. I love how it sort of looks vintage/retro. I very good find! Just for reference, my measurements are approx 39" bust, 29.5" waist, 37" hips and I bought a small.

Love this dress!
This dress was exactly what I wanted - will wear it for our employee Christmas party with some fun burgundy heals, but can dress down for other occasions with my cowboy boots (I live in Colorado) and a jean jacket. It is very comfortable and I love the pockets. The only issue I had was at the cross over seams - they were open to the inside? Was this how it was supposed to be? I ordered a size L as I am 6'0" , normally a size 10/12 and it fit perfectly very flattering for my curvy figure!
What more can I say other than I love this dress. The styling is simple and timeless. The colors are more muted than on-line. The fabric is substantial and feels good next to the skin. The vee neck and slight capped sleeves are very flattering and help make my waist appear small and the A-line is flattering to not so perfect tummies and hips.I have a hard time fitting into dresses and this one was no exception. The reg. size 4 fit in the waist but was too small across the back. When I sized up to a 6 the dress was too long waisted for my short torso and long legged body. I think it would cost too much in alterations to make this dress a viable option for me but if it lasts till it goes on sale it's the dress for me. Perhaps going to a petite is an option but I loved the length of the reg. on me. If you have a special occasion this is the dress for you.

Top 5 Fave Anthro Purchase of All Time
This dress is absolutly beautiful and extremely high quality, better than many $300+ dresses I've tried at Anthro and other stores. The fabric has just a smidge of sheen in real life, and it is on the heavy side, but I think it adds to the luxe feel.
It's a very versatile dress, I would wear this dress to work with black tights, blazer, and booties or to an event or date night.
Couple fit related notes: I am 5'9", the length is perfect for me, right below the knee. Overall I think the dress is TTS, but I found it a bit snug in the chest and I am not busty (definitely a pear). Just something to note if you are busty. I think the main reason is that the fabric has no stretch, so it doesn't give much when breathing in/out.
Overall absolutely love it, wish there were more dresses of this style and quality.

I bought this beautiful dress this past wkend during the sale, and I agree with the other reviewers-- it is stunning and well-made. I appreciate the caplet shoulders, as opposed to spaghetti straps, especially for winter holiday season. The other thing I will add is that the "pouff" of the skirt is due entirely to the weight of the material-- there is no tulle underneath, only a standard slip. Size 6 is usually what I wear in most Anthro dresses, and it fit to a T, for ref, 5'8, 135 lbs, 34-B. This is a dress that can work for all ages and will not go out of style.
There are so many things to love about this sweater dress. The pattern is bold, but it isn't loud or gaudy. And, it is so soft. The lace at the neckline is whimsical, and you can easily wear a black bra without the straps showing. What I like the most, though, is that the skirt is a-line rather than straight up and down. For my body type, straight up and down, this dress actually gives me a waist.
FYI: broad shoulders/back, short waist, larger on the top than the bottom (10 on top, 4/6 on bottom), and short 5'2" - I purchased the M. I tried the L, but on my short frame it sort of hung in an unflattering way on my body. Since it is a sweater knit, the more fitted version is best. You can stretch the fabric a bit, to create the shape that you want. The black band falls directly on my short waist, so if you have a long waist it might be too short for you. The length is perfect for my short frame, falling just above my knee.
I have already worn this dress twice. Both times, I wore it with black tights and booties. It really is very versitile, and so I will wear it on many occasions. You can easily pair it with a cardigan or a jacket, though it doesn't need it. Overall, this is a perfect sweater dress.

Pretty and Versatile
I added this dress to an order, almost as an afterthought, along with two others. This is the one I loved the most! It is comfortable and flattering. I've worn it twice and received several compliments both times. I wore it with black tights, black booties and a jean jacket. I think it could be dressed up with a black blazer as well. The quality seems great and it is perfect for the fall in our warmer Austin climate. I wouldn't recommend hanging this dress from the shoulders on a hangar as it might stretch out, rather hang it folded or store folded in a drawer. I am 5'6 and 128lbs. and the small fits just right.

Comfortable Warm and Figure Flattering
I am petite with an athletic build and have to try everything on based on the brand. For reference, I fit into all Anthro dresses and tops in XS, XSP, or 4P. I tried this dress on in the XS and it was a little snug in the shoulders and long in the length. So I ordered it in the SP. I will say that this dress is very comfortable and warm. I don't like wool next to my skin but this dress did not have any itchiness. I think it's a perfect blend of materials.
