    Cute but not super flattering
This is a dress I never would have given a second look. However, with so many good reviews I decided to give it a go. Sadly it arrived without the slip that so many said it has and it was super wrinkled and 'used' looking?? ...odd. But I had the perfect slip to pair it with and I loved it despite it's sad arrival. I am 5ft 7in and 150lbs and the small fit great but is big- thats that look though (I am normally a small in dresses). I could probably size down to a XS. If you have large upper arms, you might have trouble. If they are average to small, you will be fine. I personally do not think that this dress is super flattering, however, it's not NOT flattering either. It does look good with a belt but you have to watch the pockets like other reviewers have said. The fabric is light and flow-y and so this dress will be great for spring as well as winter (when paired with tights). It's just so comfortable! It's like wearing your flannel sheets, but in a good way.

Just buy it before it's gone!
Another reviewer called this dress surprisingly great. and that's the truth. It seems like such a simple, almost plain dress. But its magic is in the flattering cut and super versatility! I can style it now with thick dark tights, a leather belt, and ankle boots. Or turn it preppy school girl with tights, penny loafers, and a chunky cardi. It also looks adorable with cuffed socks and loafers... or Converse. You get the picture. You could grab this and go any time of year... instant cute! I'm 5' 7", lean, narrow shouldered, and not chesty. This fit perfectly in xs, but I ordered up with a small to have more room to move in the shoulder seams. The arms are somewhat fitted when the sleeves are rolled up. I can see how that could cause fit problems for those buffer than I.

    In love
I am in love with you homestead! Saw it in the store and had to have it. I am usualy a medium to large but the small fits me perfect. I also tried the small petite but like the regular size on . The regular size small flowed better on me

I was looking for a dress for an upcoming wedding and needed something that would be conservative enough for church but would also go with boots for the reception (no heels on cobblestone floors). I picked out several Anthro dresses in the store, and grabbed this one to try on on a whim. After trying on about seven dresses, this is the one I went home with. It's got slightly thicker material, which is nice for unpredictable Texas early spring, and feels substantial but not heavy. It does run slightly large- I'm typically a medium pretty much everywhere I shop, but had to size down for this (for reference I'm 5'8" and about 150 lbs; the lady at the shop said this brand tends to run large). The colors are a little brighter than the picture shows, particularly the orange/pinkish blooms. It also has pockets- ones that are big enough to fit my hands all the way in. After I go to this wedding, I'll have a great dress for dressier work days and nights out when it's a little colder outside.

As an Anthro employee, I am completely in love with this dress. I am always a size 0 in anthro dresses, so xs dresses are usually a bit roomy on me, and rarely work. However, this dress is perfect. The quality is excellent. The weight is a tad heavy, but not too heavy. I will be able to wear this well in to spring. I wore it for the first time yesterday, and honestly lost track of the amount of compliments I got.

    Beautiful dress
Beautiful dress, nice material, unique design, and fits like a glove. It's a great length for wearing to work or for wearing on the weekend. I also want to give two thumbs up to Anthropologie's customer service, who promptly sent me a second dress when the first one got lost in delivery.

    Amazing Fit
Bought this in a Petite XS runs on the small side. It is a bit difficult to get into, it should have a zipper down the back or side. However, once on it looks amazing! I received tons of compliments when I wore it out to a casual business dinner. I paired it with suede boots and was warm in it even up here in Canada. This dress can easily transition into spring with a pair of sandals and then back into fall with a leather bomber. Don't hesitate on this one does not look like much on a hanger but definitely wows.

    Cute retro dress
I had run into anthro to do a return and this dress caught my eye. Purple stripey dress with pockets. Had a few minutes so grabbed it to try on. I am 5', 120 lbs, 34B. I usually wear a small, 4 or 4P. Since the neck is small, I tried to pull this over my head and felt stuck. I pulled it off to check for a zipper. Nope. No zipper. Even turned the dress inside out to make sure. It's very tight to get on and I had to shimmy it down over my chest. Once on it is snug in the torso but not uncomfortable. The belt gives a defined waistline. The length on me was about 2 inches below my knees which I would usually avoid since it makes me look even shorter except the bell shape of the skirt, V pattern and weight seem to lengthen the look of the leg. I had on tall boots and it completed the retro look. Then it was time to take it off. Another shimmy up and off it came. Dress was very flattering on, but getting in and out was a lot of work. Ended up not buying it. I don;t always like to work that had getting in and out of clothes.

    Compliments Galore
Love this dress - yes the fabric is a bit stiffer than I expected but that is what made it hold its shape. I never got so many compliments on a dress in my life - well, maybe on my wedding dress but that was 17 years ago... It is super comfy, looks great, and hides just what you need to hide so that you look stunning.

In heathered navy now? Stop the music!!!
Really? I mean, geez! I loved this dress in moss and in the wine color, too. Might have to get this one also. The dress is soooooo comfortable and wears easily. I'm a fan of the dress with tights and tall boots or booties. Also, did the moss with tall boots and boot socks for a more rustic look. I'm a 14W with a coke bottle shape. Purchased a size L and the dress is highly complimentary to my figure. You can't lose with this dress. Navy here I come! (Btw: If you want to utilize the wonderful pockets, you gotta open up the seam gently with a seam ripper for access. Otherwise, you only see a decorative seam there.) This dress rocks!!!

I bought this dress to wear to work. Being a teacher this is perfect for a day at school. It is comfortable and flattering. Everything I expected and more.

I spend a lot of my time on the site, and saw this dress in all it's colors and was unimpressed. But I grabbed it on my way to the dressing room in the store because why not? I was pleasantly surprised! The dress drapes incredibly well, cutting in at the waist and then flaring out. The material is so soft, it's like wearing your favorite sweatshirt. The lace details add enough fancy to be completely appropriate for work, but it's like getting away with wearing pjs. I love it! I may buy it in other colors.

    A Box of a Dress
Well, I like a shift dress. Usually....but, this one was just too boxy for me. FYI: 5"3", broad shoulders/back, 36C, normally a 10 in a dress, but I can go down to an 8 in a dress that is not fitted in the waist. I am an 8/10 on top and a 4/6 on bottom, so I am very sensitive to a design that makes me look boxy. The fit of the 10 was a bit tight in the bust area, but the hips were just fine. But, I don't carry my weight in the hips, so... Too bad, too, because the quality of the fabric (silk) is wonderful. The dress was a couple of inches above my knee, and that length is perfect on me for sandals in the summer. But, I couldn't get over the square in the front that, for my build, made me look like a big "square". If this dress had been made without the box design on the front, it would have been a winner, though. If you were flat chested and had smaller shoulders, this would be a very versitile, comfortable dress for many occasions. For those that can fit this one, bravo!

    Love it
Saw this in the store and had to try it on, the pictures online don't do it justice. My usual S fit a little tight over the shoulders and chest, so I decided to go with M. A little big, but the silk fabric gives it a nice silhouette. Truly in love with it and can't wait to wear it once it gets warm!

    A Nice Surprise
I would never have purchased this dress if I had only seen it online. I saw it while I was in the store and it caught my eye. It is a really cute, easy breezy dress. The colors are much better in person. The black is not as dark and the graphics are really unique. I bought a size med and I'm 5'8" 130 lbs with broad shoulders and slim build. The length hits appropriately above the knee.

    Such a cute dress
I love this dress. And it looks so cute on, and it is very comfy because it is lined on the inside. I think it is *very* overpriced, but I loved it so much that I kept it. I found it to be TTS.

    Great Dress
I have been wanting a plaid dress and this one is perfect. The material on the outside has a gauze texture like it says, but the inside is a very soft/jersey type material. The dress runs small! I am between an XS and a S at Anthropologie, and I am very happy I ordered the S. This dress is also surprisingly flattering. I love the fit and overall I am very satisfied with the dress.

    great dress for Spring
I saw this dress on-line and didn't think much of it, especially for the price, but I decided to try it on in-store and was very surprised at how flattering it was on me so I decided to splurge and buy it. I am 36C, 28 waist, 135# and 5"4' and the small fits perfectly...very flattering dress. The small hugs in all the right places while still hiding any tummy flaws. A medium would have been ok too if I wanted a roomier fit like on the model. I took away a star for quality because I'm nervous about the white on the bottom and it's dry clean only. This will look cute with flat sandals or wedges.

    absolutely gorgeous
This dress is absolutely gorgeous and flattering on. Much more beautiful in person than via photo! The top is a comfortable cotton fit and the bottom looks like simulated leather. It is heavier than the top and pulls the dress down ever so slightly commanding a flattering appeal. This dress will sell out fast!. Get it while you can. It is unique and a must have. I am 5'6', 130, 36, 28, 38 and the small was perfect.
