    Quirky, Precious, & Thoroughly Delightful
I bought this as a gift for a dear friend of mine, and we both share a genuine enthusiasm for all things British-related, vintage, and sophisticated. We have an insatiable desire to host vintage-styled parties, particularly tea parties, so when I saw this book I knew it was essential that one of us own it. It was the perfect birthday gift - and going through the book page by page was just as exhilarating and enjoyable as making its recipes and participating in it's little how-to's. Like how to tie a head scarf? Yes, please. I'm just a college student with little money to my name, but this little splurge was well worth it. Money may not buy happiness, but this purchase certainly brought the potential for an entirely new spectrum of delightful mornings, afternoons, and evenings with friends and family.

    Adorably Awesome!
Love, love love this book! I picked up a while back after seeing it in a local Anthro store a few times. I was drawn to it and then it disappeared. Found it at another Anthro and bought it right then. Beatiful book full of great recipes and TONS of information on tea parties and as well as great prep info. It's a book to covet and pass on to future generations!

Great gift for you or a friend!
I love tea, and I use this book often, and keep it on display as its cover art is so unique. Contains actual - and delicious - recipes. A great gift for your yourself, a friend, or for tea-themed bridal shower party favors.

    cute, heavy, hollow
I fell in love with this little guy and his toothy grin and so splurged on him as a birthday-gift-to-self. He's as-pictured but what you can't see is that he's hollowed out: his head and tail are upside-down U shapes which felt a little disappointing; for the price I expected a more satisfyingly solid piece. It's still plenty heavy, so you can tell why they chose to hollow him and he still is heavy enough to keep your books in place (a big concern for me). You can see the seam where the two sides of the pieces meet and there's a hole in the top of his head from the casting process (I'm pretending that's his blowhole). The painting on the teeth is a little sloppy--again, disappointing for the price--and he has some extra white paint around his mouth, but at least the eyes are carefully done. Final thought: you can barely see this in the photo, but there's a bright blue paint layer to this little guy that's especially strong on top. He looks like a dark navy and he mostly is, but the strong cerulean blue top coat is definitely there in big strokes (in the photo you can kinda see it on the curve of his head).

    Cute but has iperfections
I wouldn't have paid this much for bookends for the mantel if I didn't have a gift card to use. The whale is really cute, just like pictured, but does have paint drips on the head. Wish it didn't, but will keep it anyway. It's a fun addition to the room, and you can't see drips from afar.

    Not a beluga
This is not a beluga. Beluga whales are white. It is cute though.

    Love Note
I have seen these for a while but, it wasn't until I noticed the LOVE set of notes. The Love Note consist of light pink and hot pink cardstock with the gold lettering. I picked up 4 packs being that my daughter will head off to college in the fall. I figured they are nice for me to drop her notes on a weekly basis. Not too mention they are also my favorite color.

    Perfect for teachers!
I have been using these for 2 years as little reward notes to my students for different contests. I usually add that they have won a "sit by a friend day" on the note and then they keep it to use as a bookmark for the rest of the year. Please don't stop making these!!

    Cute Notes
My husband goes on about 35 to 40 business trips per year. Several years ago I started writing him love notes and sticking them in his suitcase. He always loves them...whether greeting card or plain printer paper. He says just the colors and the phrase "Happy Note" at the top makes him feel that I think of him when he isn't around. I still throw in the occasional card when I find a cute one, but for the majority of trips I use these.

    j'adore paris
this book is absolutely amazing. i just spent two and a half weeks in paris {sigh…i miss it so much} and actually brought the book with me. it organizes the city by arrondisement, so basically every day i just picked a different neighborhood to explore with the book. i had been to paris before, but i found SO many hidden passageways, GORGEOUS covered galleries, tiny courtyards, and absolutely amazing shops that i had never seen before {many of which you would simply pass by without a second glance if you weren’t looking for them}. plus the styling and photography are lovely. i have read countless guidebooks about paris, and janelle looks at it through a completely different (and completely beautiful) lens. highly, highly, HIGHLY recommended!

    Just beautiful
This book was a present from my daughter, who dreams one day to go to Paris with me..I've been there twice, and fell in love with the city. So, as somebody who's in love both with art and design, and everything French, I can tell that this book is wonderful. It's a pleasure to turn the pages, beautiful in every aspect..so many places of interest mentioned, so many helpful hints. It makes your heart sing, it makes your head dream and plan. I do hope to go to Paris again, but this time I will keep this book in my purse:)

    Lovely little book
This book is so sweet. I love how it has each poem written in both languages. I read this while I was getting my hair done for my wedding, and sent one of my favorite lines to my soon-to-be husband via text. This is a book I'll always treasure.

    Love poems for my husband
My husband loves artwork and poetry so I thought this would be a great gift for Valentine's day. We don't typically do the required flowers, candy, heart necklace, and dinner so this is perfect. In addition to a Trey Speegle "111 reasons to love you" print this book of poetry will make the most romantic gift yet. The poetry is in it's original language and than translated in English (so it's side by side). The poems are a bit eccentric, strange, lonely, and beautiful but such a work of art. It's a great gift that is original and affordable all in one.

The design of the book alone is very beautiful, and gave me great pleasure to carry around everywhere. The poems contained are some of his best (in my opinon), and most positive of his romantic poems.

Adorable addition for a wedding present
I have purchased this book three times over the past year to share with the bride to be or newly married friends and I am instantly drawn to the creative twists on classic recipes, gorgeous pictures, and little kitchen tidbits to make cooking fun for the couple. Everyone immediately loved it upon opening, which is a bigger bonus! There is an insert page on the front of the book to write a note & their names.

    LOVE this cookbook!!
This cookbook is my go-to book, even though I've been married for 13 years! It's gorgeous, recipes are delicious, it tells a story and it teaches you how to entertain + stock your kitchen in style ~ how fabulous is that!

    Beautiful and Tasty.
I am not a Newlywed but had to have this book for the pictures alone. Fortunately, the recipes are just as beautiful as the pictures. A must have for any kitchen!

    Worth buying!
Style is more important than fashion. This book proves it in a great way. The pictures are inspiring, the interviews with top fashion professionals are interesting to read, the pieces of advice are worth following, the vocabulary is sophisticated. Good book to keep and to give as a gift. I guess it's intended for more creative and liberated personalities but also can be informative and extremely useful for those who still don't understand what style means and want to learn how to pick, combine and wear the clothes to look less ordinary.

Really a Good Book about Fashion
I am quite impressed with this book. Although many may argue that the French are no more stylish than other European nations or even Americans, the book is actually about the concept of style and what it means to develop one's own personal style. I find the suggestions to be valuable and the interviews of people working in the industry are of interest. I think this is a wonderful gift for anyone, including yourself, who enjoys shopping at Anthropologie.

    thoughtful book about style
this is a great little book that contains, besides useful and chic advice, interesting interviews with people who work in the world of fashion and style, and their contemplations on the subject. In my opinion, that's what's making this book different, in a good way. Deeper, more thoughtful, more substantial. Yes, substantial, even on seemingly elusive subject like style. Oh, and the pictures are gorgeous.
