Rated 5 out of 5 by katiekneller Perhaps my Favorite Anthro Purchase EVER
I loved all of these cookie Jars but decided on purchasing this one (the yak) and the Green Deer one. I love them both dearly, but If I would HAVE to choose a favorite, I would choose the Yak, at least for winter. It is so much more amazing in person than you could imagine just by seeing the picture. When my Mom and Sister came over at Christmas they Ooooooohed and Ahhhhhed because it is so unique. It is shown as grey but I think the color has a hint of blue and it has a wonderful crackled design to the glaze. What I also Love it that it doesn't look manufactured. I was worried about that when I first ordered it. He is the focal point of my kitchen right now. The muted color mixed with the highly unique design was clever. This turned out to be a surprising eye catcher. Thank you Anthro! I was surprised to find this was my favorite purchase this year, perhaps EVER.

the design/ aesthetic is nice but the quality is poor.
the edges on the jar are not finished properly. i ordered my jar online and unless you can buy this in person and inspect it properly i do not recommend buying it.
for instance: the bottom base of my jar is rough and there are chunks of glaze and clay stuck to the bottom. in addition the underside of the lid has the same issue, it is not glazed but is rough to the touch and grinds against the surface of jar (there is no rubber protection between the lid and the jar) i have considered calling anthropology for a full refund bc this product is borderline defective as it has resulted in scratches on the surface of my table and hands after washing
