I thought the color and detailing were wonderful from the picture, so I ordered the dress. When I put it on, however, I was really disappointed.
The Fit: Boxy. Really boxy. Unflattering on the arms as the armhole was kind of tight for how loose the rest of the dress is. I realize it's a shift, but good shifts have a little bit of womanly shape to them. This one does not. Also, the dress is short - I found it to be, anyhow, and I'm only 5'4.
The Quality: Quite good. The details are beautiful. I'm glad this dress is made of silk and not some poly blend. The colorblocking of the blue in the back is quite stunning.
If only the fit was better, I'd so recommend this dress. But as it stands, it's going back.

I found this shift to be perfect. I am thick through the middle, not fat but always appreciate something that moves focus from that part of the body. When I first wore this dress my husband said "wow!" which is rare. He even suggests I wear it if we are going somewhere that needs something a little special or dynamic. It IS boxy -- but, depending on your figure, that might make this dress your new best friend. Also, a little short but works with tights -- and especially if you have great legs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Magnoliamay I love this dress. I love, love, *love* it. The design is so mod and unique, and the colors are rich.
Unfortunately, the dress doesn't love me. I've had it hanging in my closet for a few weeks, and planned to wear it to an event with tights and booties as shown on the model. I tried it on this morning and realized how unflattering it is on. I have great legs, but the boxy shape does nothing for my long torso and size-10 hips... on me, it looks like a mini mumu (Which, by the way, is a fantastic concept that I so wish did flatter me). I must have been in a new-dress-in-the-mail haze when I first tried this dress on. Back it goes. Boo.
