Rated 5 out of 5 by Flattering for the Hourglass I purchased this dress in a 6. I usually wear a 6/8 and I debated on the two sizes but really there wasn't a big difference between them. The sales associate and I made the decision to go down in size as it looks better fitted in the chest than not. When larger it does what the other reviewer said and brings attention to the darts. It is snug on my waist and falls nicely from my hips. It makes my chest look very large because it's a high neck, I feel a bit like Joan from Mad Men when I wear it. So, it's sexier than you'd expect it to be when put on. My only complaint is that the ties are a bit short for a bow and can only work as a knot. Also, the fabric wrinkles easily. In the end, I bought it and received several compliments on it! I'm 5'5" 140 lbs, 34C chest. I hope this helps! March 25, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by meh I thought this dress had some potential but was disappointed when I got to the dressing room. First of all, the fabric is really thin. It wouldn't be so bad except I then discovered that the dress is unlined. It looked just okay on - the tie is a little fussy to get right and the bunching around the hips is not particularly flattering. The ties are short and might be hard to tie over a belly pooch. You can't leave it untied (even though this is how the store had it displayed) because the bottom half just hangs like a sack and looks strange. Finally, the material is very prone to wrinkling. I'd look like a mess by the end of the day in this dress. February 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sophisticated dress -- better on This dress looks much more stylish on the body than on the hanger. It is sophisticated in cut and color and has a very flattering shape. I am 5'3" with an hourglass shape, and I think it accentuates my narrow waist and shows off my legs a bit (even the non-petite length). I agree with the reviewer who noted that it has a subtle sexiness to it due to the shape and highlighting curves. I think it could be used for many occasions (work, causal wedding, going out day or night) and with many different accessories. It does run quite small, particularly the bottom half. I normally wear a 0 or 2 dress, and I got a 4. March 28, 2013

Size Guide

How to Measure

Bust

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Inseam

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Rings

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
