Rated 3 out of 5 by maybe too conceptual This is sort of one of those tough calls for me. I really like the concept of this dress. The top is super elegant and simple. Had the fjords on the skirt been uncovered and a lining been placed underneath it, it would be perfect. However, I'm not sure that the pleated sheer overlay translates to an everyday wearable dress. The conceptual ideal behind the pleated layer is nice; there's this frosty nature in the fjords thing going for it. Plus it's like an inside-out skirt... The problem is that the pleating texture disguises the gorgeous fabric underneath too much. What's worse is that it stops short of the beautiful under layer and looks like a mistake. My husband told me it looked like my underwear was hanging out and I was sloppy. TTS January 10, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Lovely concept, not a good execution The image suggests a white and blue dress, however the color of the top is closer to cream/butter than white, and the gauze layer is a pretty pleated lilac. The dress is VERY sheer, and I'm surprised it didn't have a lining. The cut is not flattering for all body shapes--I have a curvier body, and it just didn't sit well on my waist. As another reviewer said, I think the gauze layer should have been under the fjord skirt, and the dress needs a better shape. I will be returning this dress. March 6, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by A Valiant Effort. When I first saw the Floating Fjords Dress online, I was intrigued. I love the concept of the dress and it's uniqueness. I waited for it to go on sale (and for free shipping) to give it a shot. When I got the dress I was a little disappointed in the quality of the fabric, it is very thin and feels like it could just fall apart. Which is probably emphasized by the fact that it was too small on me. I ordered my normal size 6, and the waist fit, but the skirt stayed too tight, and the bust was far too tight with unflattering seam placement. I have a very top-heavy figure, so this happens and I understand not all dresses are made for me. But the skirt was also very clingy and kept riding up when I would walk. If I was more confident in the quality I would maybe try and order a larger size, but I think I'm better off with one of the many other Anthropologie dresses I am absolutely in love with. Size Guide

How to Measure

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
