by Rocket25 At the sale price, it's a steal!
I stalked this dress for weeks until it went on sale and I'm grateful I had the patience, because had I paid full price, I probably would have been disappointed. It's a very cute dress-a tad sexier than I anticipated. I got the medium and it hugged my curves and was pretty short, but by no means was it scandalous. Though the sweater material is quite bulky, I didn't feel bulked up while wearing it, but now looking at the picture, I can see how it may add some bulk to the arms. I also have fat arms. :) And like other reviewers wrote, the slip can sneak out from under the sweater but that's an easy fix - hem or fashion tape. Otherwise, the dress is well made and I feel like I will have it for many winters to come.
All in all, a fantastic deal at the sale price. Jump on it.

I love sweater dresses but definitely not this one! I love Anthro's new website design, but one thing that is not working so well anymore, and that is the ability to zoom in on the model shots. I was not able to zoom in on this dress, but liked it from afar, and ordered it. Where to start? 1) The dress is very heavy and the main color (side, around the designs) is a dark burgundy. I hadn't expected the dress to be so dark. 2) I ordered a size Small (I am normally a size 0 or 2 at Anthro, but since I am tall, decided to go with the size small) and it was way too big. I think one can order a size down if you are in between sizes. 3) The slip underneath was too long and big and it was longer than the dress. Also, the material felt very cheap. 4) The dress itself is very itchy and not for those sensitive to wool. 5) The sleeve length is very odd and I felt like a linebacker wearing a wool blanket. 6) The back is cut a bit too low and my bra band was exposed.
I really was disappointed in this dress and as a final remark, I also didn't care for the design placements. I felt it made me look bigger all over than I really am. All in all, a very unflattering dress.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sthk dress fits me true to photos on site
i don't ever write reviews about dresses, but i read the one review on this dress after i ordered it and felt really worried. pretty much every thing mentioned was the opposite of my experience (maybe the previous reviewer ordred too big or got a dud, or the consistency of this dress is variable). the dress pretty much fits me as the photos do the model on the site. on my monitor the dress appears to be very similar in color to the dress i received (everyone's monitors are different, i color correct for a living, so my monitor is spot on, also i can zoom in). slip is fine (it's not too big), and although i am wearing it for the first time, it seems like the knit quality seems average to any item i would purchase at anthro (ie i wouldn't be surprised if it started pilling after a dozen or so wears). i am sensitive to wool, and this dress is a little itchy but not intolerable. and my bra strap is a good 1-2 inches below the cut in the back. it's a thick-knit sweater dress, so don't expect it to be super tight and sleek.
i am 5'2 and 104 lbs, and usually have to alter everything i buy. i bought an XS. my only gripe is that the shoulders/upper arms are a bit big and slip off my shoulders - but alas, as i said i have to alter everything and don't expect everything to fit me perfectly. i bet i could probably wash it and shrink it a size and it will fit fine.
