I so wanted this to be perfect. I generally love Tracy Reese's aesthetic. Spent more than 10 min trying on in-store while debating on it. It is definitely a WOW piece, very striking and half of that time with it on was just spent admiring the effect. BUT, 1. It is very awkward to get into with numerous fasteners and an inner vest, the zipper of which kept sticking (on both coats i tried). 2) it is VERY, VERY bulky in front, in part due to the inner vest. My waist is much smaller in relation to my hips and I typically won't have probs with bulk in waist area, so this was odd. Tried on a 4 which would be more usual size, then a 2, just because i wanted to see if the bulk would be less. The 2 was tighter fit but result still same, looked bulky. Sigh. Not sure how thin (and maybe how tall- i'm 5'-4") you'd have to be to make that bulk look less--maybe 00 and 5'-9"? Only reason won't recommend is that I'm not sure how many body shapes would really find the fit flattering.

Rated 3 out of 5 by karmawiya this would probably look amazing on smaller people
and im not a smaller person....i got this in a size 12 and its so beautiful and unique, but i look huge and frumpy...not flattering at all in this size, and as another reviewer noted the front lapel situation is quite bulky in that size....final verdict--gorgeous, but you gotta be probably size 8 or below for it to actually flatter your figure...otherwise, save yourself the trouble and get a coat that is slimming with less bulkiness....

I saw this online and knew I had to have it, I loved the colors and the design of the coat. I went to my local Anthro to try it on and it was love at first sight. However, it takes too much time to get in and out of, like another reviewer said and it was very tight across the bust also. I sized up and it was just too big for me. Sadly, it did not workout and I really did leave heartbroken as I wanted the coat. I am truly surprised at the lack of options for winter coats that Anthro has to offer at this stage in the game being from the Northeast. I always look here first. Hopefully, one will pop up soon that catches my eye before it gets too cold here.
