by Madgardener The colors were neutral enough enough to make this coat versatile, the print is calm. It will be good enough for a California 'Winter' but for all of you with real weather, this is a Fall piece.
Soft material, nothing scratchy happening.
At 5'6" and 130lbs, I fit the medium well, it was roomy enough for a couple of midweight layers underneath too. I usually wear a 6-8 but have broad shoulders.
The zip does not go the full length, leaving an open inverted V at the bottom. The shawl collar is lovely hanging open, drapes well or if the single popper (visible in model shot #1) is used, the shawl can be rolled up to be a bit more scarf-like.
The back is straight, hit me just at the top of my thighs.

This coat has great lines. With the way it closes in the front and the cut of the pockets it provides an nice girlie shape. The collar rolls nicely when snapped. (Not snapped in the picture.)
Although I love the 'look' its not heavy enough for really cold days. More a fall transition coat. Warmer than a sweater.
If you wear scarfs, it would need to be neutral and go underneath the collar.

I went into anthro the other day to actually get a different jacket (the one with the hot pink criss crosses). I ended up trying on 5 other ones as well. This jacket is amazing. It is soft, true to size, and has so many options. I love it just zipped up with the open collar but I especially love it buttoned up with the collar flipped over. I have received so many compliments on this one. Do yourself a favor and try it!
I ended up getting a small (that was all they had left) but it fits perfect. I am generally a medium but the small is great. I can not wear a sweater or something bulky underneath, but I think this has a jacket or sweater look as it in and would prefer it over a light top or just a plain long sleeve.
