by XiaoMa Buckles buckled! Solution found.
Similar to another reviewer, I was so sad to find that one of the antique brass buckles had loosened itself during a workday running around in Hong Kong. I was about to let go of this $100 mini but a trip to Britex in San Francisco solved the problem. I bought two of the following : 'ring with gate, antique brass' . They are basically carabeaners that fit almost perfectly. I'm going to give it a try. I love this little mini, and I just can't see not wearing it again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ellie22 I fell in love but...
I don't know what to give this skirt. I tried it on in the store and loved it. Unlike the preious review I found the waist a tad big and had to get it taken in. Yes, it s short but this would look frumpy if it was long. It is really cute however, the first time I wore it, I discovered the problem. I was shopping and looked down to see that one on the buckles was missing. It had fallen off. I had been all over NYC that day so I had no way to find it. The buckles screw on and somehow fall off really easily. The other buckle came undone in my suitcase. So if you buy this, you need to super glue the screw in the buckle. Now the skirt is ruined. $98 plus alterations. I am hoping they will offer something when I try to return it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Devony Small, tight, awkward
I fell in love with this skirt on the mannequin - I tend to fall for anything with leather buckle details! I tried on one in my normal size, but it was just way too tiny, in all respects. The waste was so small that I could only fasten it around my natural waste, much higher than it sits on the model, which then makes this skirt SUPER short. Even sizing up, however, failed to solve the issue, and it just remained much too short, just BARELY covering what needed, minimally, to be covered. Plus, the way the material is stitched together makes the top layer really poof out while the bottom layer is fairly constricting, which makes for a rather awkward visual, as it's not high enough to fit the cute peplum trend but not low enough to really work either. And, as usual with felt/wool skirts, it showed absolutely every little imperfection, plus the material was so thick it was almost uncomfortable itself and definitely added inches to my waste. If you want to try it, I'd definitely say size up! And be prepared to wear super opaque tights under it!!
