 by kaliahpr Very versatile skirt
I tried this skirt on in the store after seeing it in the catalog. I needed a skirt for a "casual elegance" gala and wore with a fitted denim top and a massive statement necklace. The skirt was very comfortable and easy to walk in. Since it's a neutral, but with a beautiful texture, it can go dressy or casual. For the office, you can dress it conservative with a jacket or plain top. For going out, you can dress it up with a sparkly top or a drapy blouse. Very versatile and elegant and extremely pretty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jennienfer as far as i'm concerned, stretchy fabrics are the greatest sartorial advancement in history. hourglass figure here, usually an 8 in skirts (34B-28-38), and i'm constantly sized out of pants and pencil skirts made by certain brands (ahem, j.crew) who forget that ladies sometimes have hips. anthro has carried so many lovely pencil skirts in the past few years that look just fantastic with curves, thanks to spandex. this skirt is one of them. the only con is the waistband, which doesn't stay put--a small price to pay for a skirt that fits right everywhere else. keep em coming anthro...

I don't usually wear pencil-skirts, pear-shape that I am. But if I did, this skirt would work beautifully for me in a size large. For reference, I am 5'8", 135 lbs, 34-B, small-waisted. The combination of elastic waist, zipper and stretch material comes together to make a specific, elegant fit. I also love the three layers: black lace on top of champagne lace on top of black rayon lining. Shimmers a bit as it shifts, creating a mix of Retro 1940's and Contemporary Edge. Those who have been waiting for the perfect pencil for the well-endowed-- this may be it.
