love it so much! buying a second for when it wears
this skirt is beautiful!! it's so much prettier than this picture makes it out to be. you can wear it with anything... an oversized blouse tucked in front or a crop top.
that said, the material is unfortunate. the first day that i wore this skirt it got two holes... one from each strap of my backpack. i live in co and we got one of our classic 80 degree days in early march, so naturally i this was the first piece that i pulled from my closet. i walked up the hill to campus and upon getting to class i couldn't get my backpack off. each strap had snagged the skirt and it would have destroyed it if i just tried to force it out. i went to the bathroom to gently separate the skirt and backpack and it came out with minimal damage... post-scissor touch up it was fine.
i'll still wear it for as long as possibly given that it's gorgeous and hugs my body perfectly, but i was disappointed in the material. not enough to not own it, but i wish i had known how fragile it was beforehand... i would have been more careful when i wore it.

Cute and very comfy
This is a keeper. The material is so soft and light. I put it on this morning when I needed to look "nice" for a few hours and I have not taken if off all day because it is that comfortable. In addition to the greys and pinks you can see in the picture, there is also some orange and slate blue in the actual skirt. It can be casual with a tee shirt or dressed up. It is fitted enough to be flattering but not tight at all.

As soon as I saw this maxi skirt I knew it would be mine. It is everything I expected it to be and more. Love everything about it! The colors, the pattern, and the slightly gilded stretch waistband is just dreamy! The fabric has a nice weighty feel and it is completely lined top to bottom, not just to the knee like some maxis. Perfect for every season! I like that there is some width and fullness to the bottom which makes walking in it a breeze. I wear it just slightly below my natural waist sitting on the hips. I am 5' 8" and the length is perfect to wear with flats or heels. I've worn this skirt with a denim shirt, navy hi lo sweater, a cream colored silk blouse and grey t shirt - so versatile! This beautiful skirt feels so good on and is an awesome addition to my wardrobe. With boots or sandals it's my go-to piece for any occasion.
This skirt is some kinda hot, well, in a very understated way! Rendered in a blacker black, it just pops any color you decide to pair with it. I hate the shoes shown with it in the catalog pictures, but the skirt really dresses up with a sexy sandal, open toe wedge, or dress down with Keds, Toms or Birk's. This skirt runs large, I got a medium which is my usual size, but I could have gotten away with a small because of the elastic band waist. The skirt is very long on petites, but the lining ends above the knees. I was initially worried that there would be a high snag factor with the holes, but the skirt is very well made and I haven't had a problem. I reach for this in place of jeans sometimes because I'm cool like that!! Lol My sister bought this as well!

Such a great skirt!
I grabbed this skirt as soon as I saw it at my local Anthro. I agree with the previous reviewer that the photos don't do it justice. The overlay fabric is soft and not stiff at all. The length is quite a bit longer on me than on the model, as I'm 5'3, it's more of a true midi skirt, which I love. Because of the elastic waist, I would say that the sizing is slightly generous, but not enough to say it's not true to size. I tend to wear Large or Medium at Anthro and with this one I went with Medium (although the Large would have been okay too). I personally wish the lining part were slightly longer, but it definitely wasn't enough to prevent me from buying this beautiful skirt! I can see myself wearing it with tights for the rest of the winter, then with strappy sandals and graphic t-shirt in the summer. Highly recommend!

So I purchased this skirt and wear it with boots underneath, and it's a surprisingly great look. The shoes in the picture do not do the skirt justice.
With the skirt and boots, there's a peekaboo effect, but in addition, the skirt kind of has a romantic swishy feel when you move quickly. I was surprised by this, and I am looking forward to trying some mixed looks to dress it casual-formal.
The band is elastic, so it was versatile. I can vary in my skirt sizes (I am short, but less thin than I used to be), but size small was fine.
It has taken me forever to get this skirt due to incorrect addresses etc. Finally arrives and I am blown away. This is a really special piece and an item you will have for a long time. Yep, forever is a long time.
I could tell it would be beautiful from the picture, but I was surprised at the quality at this price point. Given some of the ridiculous prices on Anthro, this is a steal. Yes, as someone said already, it is practically couture quality.
Strong a-line pops from a snug waist so you have definition. The problem is the waist is pretty small. I an 4-6 and the small is pretty tight. Wearable but tight.I may bump up to a medium but need to check how much bigger it is. The fabric is very heavy which adds a formality and elegance to it. It's much dressier than I thought.

Dessie Midi Skirt
Gorgeous! The fabric is quite heavy and stiff enough to hold a true a-line, flare shape, (which you can't really see in the online photo) but it's soft and luxurious and the colors and print are stunning. I found it ran true to size (size 0/2 = XS), but it does sit exactly at my true waist. And I found the sleek line very flattering and slimming. For the price I was almost hoping I wouldn't love it so much, but I do! Now I just need to create an event to wear it to. Definitely a gem I'll save and wear again and again!

Quality skirt that will last a lifetime
This skirt is extremely well made, both the print and the quality of the fabric is absolutely beautiful. It's a heavy material but it can be worn in the spring and summer. It runs true to size, I ordered a medium and a large but I'm sending the large back. There's a lot of fabric so it definetly adds volume. It also has pockets which is a plus. Overall great floral piece for the spring.
After the early 2000s, I never thought I'd be one to purchase a denim mini ever again. But after seeing this skirt looking beyond fantastic on just about every fashion blogger I decided to give it a go and order it.
I was not disappointed in the least! This skirt hugs all the right places and the length is short, but not too short that you couldn't wear it out to a nicer event. The price did scare me off a bit at first, but the skirt is so well made and has such a timeless silhouette that I'll be wearing it for many years to come!
Please be aware that it does run small. I'm typically a size 25 in jeans and I'm so glad I sized up to a 26. It fits great around the waist without being too tight that I can't breathe. All in all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase!

Great skirt, runs small!
I LOVE this skirt. I find myself wishing it would get warm outside ASAP so I can wear it all the time (though it does look cute with tights). NOTE: This skirt runs SMALL. Alexa Chung is the fit model for this skirt, and she is a tall, thin woman. I sized up 2 sizes in the skirt and I like the way it fits - it looks flattering but doesn't squeeze my waist, so I can tuck things into it comfortably. I highly recommend this skirt, but I also highly recommend sizing up 1-2 sizes!

I was worried the skirt was going to be too short, and it is, but it is still very flattering. For reference, I'm 6 ft, big framed and about 140 lbs and I bought a size 30 and it fits just right. I'm normally a size 29 in AG jeans but I'm pretty sure that the 29 wouldn't have even come close to fit me. The skirt's fabric is not that thin and not that thick, it's just perfect!
Saw this skirt online and later in store and had to try it on. There's something intriguing and different about this piece, and in person it did not fail to disappoint! I went with my normal size 4, though tried the 6 as well based on the previous reviews. It depends on the fit you want and the way you want to wear it. I would say it maybe runs a tad small, but i liked mine to fit more at the waist so I can either tuck something in and maintain that feminine silhouette or do a looser top as well. The 6 would have worked too, it just sat a bit lower on my hips. I tried it with the orange knit top and didn't love the way it looked on me, but plan to wear mine with a gauzy white T or a chambray shirt tied in front. Highly recommend! Fun flirty, and versatile!

Perfect spring/summer skirt
If you have an hourglass shape or smaller waist, then this would run true t size. For me, I am a 28 inch waist - I would say this runs small on the waist as I am usually a size 2-4 in bottoms and got the 8 in this skirt. The hips are full which I find flattering since I am sort of board-shaped. Material is nice and soft, does not wrinkle as much as I thought it would. It is lined. No pockets. I can see this paired with anything and everything- solid or print tops. Striped tops work too (I got it along with the "sleeveless structured halter top" by Deletta, in yellow stripes) But I am tempted to get this mesh embellished top the model is wearing it with as well... I am 5'6" and find the lenght appropriate but still fun- exactly like shown on the model- front falls a little below knee and sides about 2-3 inches above knee.

Good but not great for Petite ladies
It's a really pretty skirt, but if you're petite (5 foot 2, 115 lbs) it just looks like WAY too much fabric. Kinda like there's an extra foot or two of body fabric to the skirt that shouldn't be there. That WAS the petite size as well. Length and waist worked well for me. It was just the fact that I looked like I was swimming in fabric. It is really really pretty though.
Today when I opened my mailbox my heart sank as I saw my package from Anthropologie. I wondered how could my skirt really be in that envelope that was stuffed into my mailbox. When I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised, the skirt gracefully unfolded, was ready to wear, not a wrinkle. The black tulle felt so soft and full. The weight of the soft layers of tulle allows a gorgeous fall to the midi length. The floral design is exquisite. It fits perfectly. This may be the most magnificent skirt I have ever purchased. I will be wearing this to a Wedding and I look forward to dancing all night long!

The embroidery is so vibrant and we'll done on tulle! In regards to the tulle it is so soft, a nice heavy weight, and flows extremely well. I usually wear a 6 in Anthropologie skirts, it was too snug so I got an 8 instead.
SO very stunning and we'll made.

Tight at waist
Pretty skirt but I was surprised that I can't fasten the waistband or even zip it all the way to the top. This is a surprise as I don't have a particularly large waist. I'll use it as a motivator to lose weight because the skirt is pretty.
It reminds me of those satin shoes you can buy in Chinatown - the embroidery is rather bright and almost a bit garish against the black tulle, but it works.
I am 169cm (5.65) and normally 10. After reading one and only review, I ordered a 12.
Once I received it, it looked bigger than I thought so I took measurements and found that mine was very TTS. The waist of size 12 on Anthro sizing chart is 31.5" and this skirt's waist is 31.5." The length is 28" and this one is also the exact same as Anthro description.
The model pic made me think this skirt was knee length but the length is actually 4-5 " below my knees, truly midi skirt. And a bit too much fabric, a bit too voluminous ... but none of these matters when you fell in love with the print. The print (a Canadian artist Yang Yang Pan's paint, according to the Troubadour's website) is so pretty and I am happy that the colors are laid out very similar way as the model pics. As a blue lover, I especially liked the 2nd pic, right back part. I was worried if mine did not have light blue color but it turned out it is almost identical.
The skirt also has sideseam pockets which is awesome.

The fabric is gorgeous and has a perfect weight and drape! But, the waist runs a bit small. I normally take an 8 and had to go to a 10 on this one. Totally worth the cost!
