They are gorgeous, no two ways about it, but the store gets much more interesting ones. I ordered 4 sets in three colors and the creme color came unified and almost identical. In the store, the colors seem way more varied and the patterns more "flawed" (in a good way) and one of a kind. So I bought more at the store and will be taking some of the ones I purchased on line, back. I'm using these not only as coasters but as backsplash tile in the bathroom so they not only have to look good, but look good together in a row and for me "good" means each one shuold be dramatically different with slightly varied colors. In the store they actually have some that look like spilled milk white which are gorgeous, but those didn't come in the "milk and honey" selection I bought on line, which was a creamy pink-beige. Nice---but not as nice as the white. Don't be surprised if your favorite color keep changing. I think I'll probably buy more of every color. Everyone loves them---I had them in my purse for a few days and showed them to everyone from the vet to the barista at starbucks. They would make a good gift for anyone.

I've been drooling over these ever since I saw them in person. The online pics don't do the coasters justice at all though. Anyway, I finally decided to stop obsessing and just buy them. Since I wanted to pick out each one I was getting, I got them in-store rather than online, but I'm pretty sure you'll love whichever come in! Just a couple of negatives: 2 or 3 of mine have some cracks in the glaze around the center crystals, but I can't tell if it's a flaw specific to mine or if all come this way. Also, the glazing is pooled in the center, not covering the tile to the edges. It doesn't read as rustic as much as rushed. All in all though, I can't recommend these enough, they're ridiculously gorgeous and are such striking colors that work well with so many decorating styles. They add just the right amount of sparkle without being over the top!

I had been eyeing these coasters online for a long while. With so many good reviews, I almost purchased them right then and there, but decided to look at them in stores to get a better look at the colors. I couldn't decide on one! They all were just to beautiful to choose between so I bought 4 different colors. Because my apartment is eclectic it works out just fine. Besides that, the variation in colors makes a great reminder for guests to remind them of which drink is theirs. My boyfriend doesn't believe in coasters, but for some reason he used these without even having to be reminded! That's a good sign right there. :) The designs are eye-catching and the coasters are of very good quality. They're heavy and thick and look great on any surface. They're like mini pieces of art for your table top. I love them!
I purchased this bowl in pink, a few years ago a a freshman in college, because I fell in love with the pattern. I bought this item with the intention of using it as a breakfast bowl, but when it arrived it was significantly smaller than I expected. Nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised with the purchase, because I felt it looked far more beautiful as a trinket dish. I basically used it for my jewelry and cosmetics. I found it recently, after going through my dorm room things and I am in love with it as ever. Even though it's been a while, this piece has held up so well. I've grown up a fair bit but this is an item that you can never outgrow. It now has a place on my vanity and I intend on buying several more! I think what makes Anthropologie so special is that they create pieces that are multifaceted and aren't limited to a single purpose.Even if it's not what you expect it to be, you won't be disappointed!

This is what we use when eating rice in Japan
Some people say that this is too small - to me, there is no too small or too big as this is the standard size for rice bowls in Japan.
This is North America and people may not cook rice so often at home, so it is good for some other things but I agree with some reviewers it is too small for cereal. Maybe good size for ice cream or something.
In my home, the bowls are used for rice and dog food. Mine is pink one (I normally hate pink but this one is an exception!), of course for rice, hubby uses green one, my chihuahua blue one.
I appreciate Anthro carries these for years. I first bought these in 2009 I believe, broke some of them and purchased some more this year. I hope Anthro will have more traditional patterns.
The bowls are durable and packaging is great, always arrives in a perfect condition when purchased online.

Just when I thought I was over my "buy almost every bowl and/or plate that strikes my fancy at Anthro" phase, I noticed these little bowls. I have passed by them DOZENS of times, but just the other week, I really noticed how beautiful they are.
I bought a few of these, and the larger Atom Art serving bowl. They look lovely together!
I have to say, I didn't realize how useful this small size bowl would be. I've used them so much already - to put chopped ingredients in while cooking, for small portions of cereal or dessert, for leftover storage, etc...
I'm sure Anthro will keep coming out with variations in the coming years, and I am excited to add to my collection.
I bought my friend one of these as well as the smaller farmers market basket in white for her bridal shower and loved them so much that I had to buy them for myself as well! The quality is great and the large basket is much larger than I expected. The only con I have is that the picture of the white basket doesn't really convey the true color which is more of a grey-white. I still like it, but I would prefer if the online picture was a more accurate representation of the product itself.

Cute and Functional
I have both sizes of these containers and love them! They have so many uses around the house. I love that they have a slight texture to them that makes people wonder what they are made of until they touch them. They almost look like paper board - like the actual berry baskets you get from the natural grocery store. I want to get more, but wish they weren't so expensive. You definitely can find similar looking ones elsewhere for less than half the price, but they don't have the textural quality that these do. You can rinse your fruit and veggies in them, put them in the fridge and then serve them all in the same container. I even used them for a candy buffet to hold lollipops! Convenient and cute - love these!!

After eyeing these baskets for years, I finally broke down and bought a small one. What was I waiting for? What are YOU waiting for? I use it for produce from the farmer's market and it makes me happy whenever I see it in my kitchen. I bought one for a friend, filled it with black cherries... she loved it, too. So I just bought this large one, and I'll probably buy more as gifts. You can't go wrong with these. That said, I recommend getting the aqua blue ones in particular, because they look exactly like the paper ones they always use at the market. The other colors are cute but not as authentic.
I bought a set of these at The Grove Anthropologie in LA and I didn't have very high expectations of them. They're just way too pretty to believe they would actually be as durable as they are. Let me preface this by saying I've easily owned ten sets of everyday dishes (ranging from Villeroy Bach to Best Buy and World Market sets). I bought these as a whim because they were so gorgeous and I love all things "Anthropologie."
Well..here we are...two years later and not one of them has a chip after constant daily use from a family of four. I donated most of my other dishes and am planning on buying another eight (different patterns to mix and match). These are AMAZING! We use them as our everyday dishes and they run through the dishwasher on a daily basis. My dishes do not have metallic details on them. We put them in the microwave and they don't get too hot. They are easily THE BEST DISHES I'VE EVER OWNED!

My Forever Love Plate
Yes, Yes, I say to this true love plate that clearly expresses my feeling at this time in my life! I am in love at the tender age of 64 and when I saw this plate I had to have it. The gold rim looks like a wedding band and the flowers exemplify all of the beauty and delicate whimsey that swirls inside my heart. Thanks so much for making a plate that portrays my feelings right now!

I adore these plates so much. I bought all the ones with the French words (le roi- lion, joyeux anniversaire-cupcake, bonjour cheri-little girl, après un bon repas- leopard, le tour Eiffel- Eiffel tower, etc) It's just boring to live in a world with just simple white plates and these plates spark such joy every time I use them. They are conversational pieces and functional. The lip to the plate makes it useful for any dish with sauce, and they are sturdy and withstand the dishwasher. They also make wonderful gifts for the leo in your life, or francophone, someone with a little girl, etc etc.
Put these towels along with the Just Married towels in a bridal shower basket.
These towels looked wonderful, are made well, and are so different and unique. I happened to run into a jam when a custom order from a local crafter got lost in the mail. Some things are meant to be ad I would have never found towels as creative as this anywhere else.
Pairs very well with a few other dish towels and housewares. Made this gift the hit of the shower.

Love these for making pillows!
Even though I've been married for almost 11 years, I bought them for myself! Who says you have to be a newlywed to enjoy these right? They were too cute to pass up! Even my hubby liked them! But because they are more on the delicate side, I thought they'd look so adorable as accent pillows! So I'm planning on sewing them up and adding a zipper to make them last that much longer! Several of anthros tea towels would make great pillows and these are definitely some of them. There is an excellent online tutorial for those of you who need a little guidance on how to do that if you wish to do the same! http://thepleatedpoppy.com/2011/03/how-to-make-a-pillow-from-a-tea-towel/

I got this for my daughter's wedding. She happens to love birds and had bluebirds on her wedding cake. I accidentally purchased two online which is easy to do since the checkout does not prompt you if you do that. This turned out to be fortunate because when took both of them out of the package, some of the stitching on the words was hard to read while others were okay. They look to be machine made but still comparing the two side by side had a lot of differences in the stitiches on the design. That is why i gave the quality, an average, but the design is really sweet! Also, the material they are stitched on seems quite heavy and rough, I hope when she washes it, it will become softer.
I spotted these plates in Soho, NYC Anthroplogie and loved them, but I did not purchase them and wass sorry afterwards. I called the store the following day and asked them to hold two for me...the chameleion and the bug plates. I admired the two oddest looking ones because of the contrast between the old fashioned shape of the plates and the weird graphics..
One is on display in a built in wall cubby shelf and one is sitting atop an antique dresser. I do not use them for food and I would never think of washing then any other way than by hand. Too adorable to risk breakage or scratching.

Fun and lovely
I put this plate and three others (Honey Bee, Black Swan, Pufferfish) from the "Natural World" set on an online registry for my upcoming nuptials. However, I neurotically started to worry that this one and the honey bee would disappear before anyone purchased them--they have been out longer than the swan & pufferfish and the wedding is still a couple months off. So I ended up just ordering those two myself and I'm so glad I did! I love the mix of vintage charm and "non-traditional" creature . The colors are vibrant and they have great attention to detail. I haven't used them yet, I'm kind of afraid to mess them up, but they actually seem pretty solid so I'm sure they will be fine. They would be great for purely decorative use, but I'm looking forward to serving dessert to guests on them!

Alternative for kids
I bought these to try to get my 5 and 3 year olds to eat their dinners; they love lizards and the like so I bought the chameleon design for both. I was prepared for disappointment with the quality based on other reviews but these are near perfect. There is a slight misalignment at the border with the white flowers but you'd have to look closely. They are quite heavy plates which is great as they looked a little delicate on-line. I will be ordering more as they are inexpensive and would make great gifts. My girls love them.
My favorite measuring cups! They are so pretty I just love them!

Beautiful, unique ...
These cups were a birthday present and were put to use the following weekend at a dinner party. I used the smallest one for olive pits, the 1/3 cup contained the olives. The half cup was used to serve the dipping sauce for grilled artichokes, the full cup was full of marcona almonds. I love these measuring cups! They have yet to see the inside of my kitchen drawer, they are displayed on a shelf above my bar. Having said all that I'm not sure I will ever use them as measuing cups. Go ahead, buy them ... have some fun!

I had a blast spending my Anthropology gift card the day after Christmas. Everyone expected me to buy clothes, but instead I shopped the House & Home section. These fun little beauties immediately caught my eye as a much needed alternative to my white plastic measuring cups. They are even prettier in real life and have become a centerpiece in my functional kitchen art piece. They are coveted by all who enter my kitchen and several friends have hinted they may want a set for their birthdays.
