I LOVE this maxi cardigan. I got it in the mint color in the XS standard size. I'm 5' 2.5" and I'm quite often in between petite and standard sizes at Anthro (sometimes I'm a tall petite and a short standard). I tried on the XSP and the SP petite. The petite sizes were significantly shorter in length and the sleeve length was perfect. I went with the XS standard bc I liked the maxi cardi being longer and the sleeve length was a little longer but it didn't bother me.
The only complaint I have is you need to be mindful of where and when you wear it. The material Isn't cheap but it is delicate so just...don't hug a cat while wearing this sweater or walk in the woods were things can snag the material.

I see another reviewer thinks the fabric looks/feels cheap, but I disagree entirely. To me, it's the age old issue that EVERYTHING from Anthro costs more than it really should... But, in my opinion, this particular piece is no different in quality than the general Anthro standard.
I have a petite, fairly athletic frame and the XSP fits me well. I wear this piece as pictured --with jeans and a white tank-- and it looks great! I feel stylish yet casual. Perfect for the office.
My only hesitation with it is that from the back it looks a little bit like a robe since it's so long. But I don't have a problem with it because I'm always buzzing around, and people will see the 360 view.

Casual Elegance, Sleeves Run a Bit Tight
I tried on both colors of this cardigan, in 2 different sizes, and I agree with a previous reviewer about the only basic difference between any 2 successive sizes being the tightness of the sleeves. So if you find the upper arms in your usual size to be too tight for your liking, try the size up if you can. I couldn't get the cardigan to form long "lapels" with the stripes showing outside, as in the first photo; they would revert back to that of Photo 4 where the model is walking through a meadow. But it doesn't take much movement for the stripes underneath to clearly show. I plan to wear the navy cardigan with tights, a white or colorful tee, a tapered knit skirt above the knees and taller boots this fall, but it looks great in the photos with a tee and jeans. My only concern is the delicate fabric. There were a couple very small snags in the sleeves of the one I purchased, but they weren't located in a blatantly visible area, so I'm going to be more careful when wearing, I'm not going to wear any rings with protruding prongs, or place a clutch under my arm that could snag it further. Overall, it exudes "casual elegance", which is what Anthropologie does so well, especially the way the lower portion softly waves as you walk.
I was hesitant to get the sweater (I shop mostly online) after reading that one VERY negative review, but the second review was posted and that person was quite positive about the sweater. But, I still wasn't sure and then it went on sale, so I bought. I just got it and the sweater is beautiful. A deep burgundy color with zigzags of white and blue. The burgundy weave has bits of blue, green, and yellow threads, so you can wear this with so much! The draping is lovely too. I bought a small petite and it fits a bit loose so I can wear a heavy thermal underneath if necessary. I travel to Santa Fe a lot and this will be going with me. The sweater is perfect for fall, winter and those chilly spring/ summer mountain nights.

This sweater is unique and very versatile. The southwestern flavored pattern is a stand out and is a great example of why I shop at Anthropologie to begin with. it is wonderful to find unique clothes that reflect one's personality. I love this sweater's softness and comfort and the fact that it is on sale is a plus (ofcourse). For me I am a med/large, in this sweater a medium fit fine especially since it is meant to be worn open. I will wear it tonight with wide leg navy satin pants and a cream blouse.

Pretty and warm
I wouldn't say this an ugly cardigan, in fact it's what I love to have for fall. Anthro made a lot of these open front cardigans, most didn't keep your chest warm, but this one drapes well in front depends on how you play with the collar. The color is true in the first picture, deep purplish burgundy, not red as in other pictures. I loved it so much i splurged at full price, but i did get price adjustment later when on sale. Easy to wear, a touch of color when I don't want basic black. FTTS, I bought my usual small. (Please ignore my sizing scale, not able to move the slider on my tablet).
This vest is absolutely amazing! It is cut as a long piece of soft knitted cotton (mixed with wool) and there are two slits that let your arms slip in so you can wear it as a vest. I fell in love with the red version since the colours were so vibrant. Not only can you wear it as a vest, you can also arrange it so that you can wear it short-sleeved, or even with the sleeves coming down to your elbows, just like a cape. You can also drape it as a shawl or wear it as a thick scarf. And since he possibilities are endless, why not even wear it as a poncho! This statement piece is truly an investment that will last till the end of fall and it's a perfect transition piece from summer to autumn. It has that cool boho style and completely transforms an outfit (I would wear mine with a simple t-shirt and fitted jeans). It fits true to size. I am usually between 0 and 2 and the XS/S fit me perfectly. It wasn't too long and I didn't find any issue with the hi-low length of the vest. Very highly recommended!

Fell in love with the colors of this before I realized what a great piece this was. It can be worn so many ways, my favorite is taking the bottom corner of one side and bringing it up to the opposite shoulder and taking a kilt safety pin to keep it in place. It lifts the mood of a simple pair of jeans and boots to the next level. Strongly recommend this one...grab it before it is gone...

I just tried on this interesting poncho/blanket/vest yesterday, and I wish I would have read the reviews first-- it didn't even occur to me to try bringing the arm-holes lower, which would be very interesting! The length of the material is horizontal, rather then vertical, which is what gives so much material around the neck, like a large bulky scarf. The fiber-content is 85% cotton, 10% poly, 2% wool and 2% alpaca. And the feel of it is lush without being heavy.
I tried on the Smaller version, as well as the Larger version, and honestly couldn't tell much difference. (I even compared the back-length between the arm-holes, and it might differ by 1/2 inch) For ref, 5'8", 135 lbs, 34-B.
The good news here is that one size could fit most. Bad news is that one was snagged already-- perhaps by a hanger. Needs TLC, but on the other hand, the loops are large, so probably one can wiggle or re-tie anything that gets caught up.
I'll give it another try!
I'm glad I didn't listen to the previous reviews, I LOVE this top and have gotten many positive comments on it. With jeans or dressed up with any kind of skirt for work works. Looking forward to spring & summer to wear it with denim or other shorts.

Chiffon layer part of the design
This is an interesting garnment. I didn't originally notice from the pictures on the Website that it has a chiffon lining that peaks out underneath the woven top. The picture is also misleading, because the chiffon layer is way longer than what you see and show a few inches more. It actually looks really pretty and I wish I could have had a better idea of how it looks but the Medium was too big on me and I had to size down, but the store was out of Smalls. The color was nice (I'm a redhead, I have trouble pulling off off-whites, but this one worked on me) and I really liked the pattern and thickness of the weave, I was also curious to try it with something underneath - the stylist hadn't seen anyone try it with something underneath and she suggested a chambray shirt, which I didn't try out since they did not have my size. I'll keep this on the wish list for now...

Fun For Fall
I purchased this item mid-summer and have been anxiously awaiting the chance to wear it. When I was finally able to, it definitely lived up to the hype. It was comfortable, flattering with a button down underneath, and overall just a fun addition to my close!
I'm 5' tall and usually wear a size S or XS sweater, preferably in petite. I tried this first in XSP in both colors and it was too short, even on me, to wear without a layer under it. It hit below the waistband of my jeans, but lifted up to show my belly when I moved my arms. I exchanged for size XS regular, and the overall fit was both larger and longer. It's still on the shorter side, but it hits at mid-hip and doesn't show skin when I move my arms. Except for the sleeves, it's very oversized. and stands away from the body in the back. It works well for my body type - larger on top than on bottom - but if you don't like full sweaters, it may not be for you. The sleeves are quite tight, especially around the shoulder seam, but they do stretch. I'm usually not a fan of lilac, but this color is soft, heathery, and pretty. The 'yellow' looks green, both on the website and in person, but it really is a yellow and gray heather that looks green except upon very close inspection. I got these on sale with an extra % savings so I'm keeping them both. If you're taller, plan to layer this one as it will likely be cropped on you.

Soft Comfy Sweater
Purchased this sweather in both shades, absolutely love it. It does run a little full. I am between a large and an extra large, and definately only needed this in the large. Even in the large it fits loosley.
It runs slightly shorter in the front and has a slight A-Line bodice which really does not show on the model.
The fabric is very soft and this sweater can be worn now all thru the fall and beyond. Because of the soft colors you can wear this sweater with many diffferent color pants.
I am not a vest person, but i am a layers person. So, i figured it's about time i had a vest cardi (or, veci, if you prefer). I am in love.
This is PERFECT for any type of fitted dress situation. I have a black bodycon midi tank dress that is just begging for this vest.
The quality of the fabric is great for a mild climate, and I don't think it will snag easily. And the back of this garment is really head turning.
I would say this runs just a smidge small. I am 5'4" and 135 lbs, bigger on top and I got the M/L. I usually wear a 4-6 in pants and 6-8 in dresses.

Upgrade on the basic vest!
Who knew they could spice up a basic vest? The twist in the back makes this gorgeous and the fit is truly unique. It turns all of my Maxi dresses into casual and fun daywear. Goes great with earthy jewelry, so you can create your own style.

WOW! I LOVE it!
This was a big surprise! It didn't catch my attention online. Thank goodness I tried it on in the store. It is much more flattering on, than the online picture shows. The styling in the back and the front is very curve-enhancing. It is also a comfortable quality fabric. It is in keeping with Anthro's reputation for creating works of wearable art! It runs TTS. I usually wear a size XS or S. The size XS fit perfectly (I am 117 Lbs, 35-27-35, 5'4").
I surprised myself when I purchased this cardi from the store....I'm so glad I decided to try it on. It's not a style I typically go for in a sweater and is on the high end of my budget, but I could not resist the colors and lovely painterly design. The rolled hem adds another pretty and modern detail. I have received many compliments on it....two of them from men :) Looks great with a gray or ivory tank as well as the coral pictured. Overall, nicely feminine and beautifully designed.

Almost bought this
I liked this sweater a lot. It was very flattering. I could've worn it with a black, charcoal, or red cami or shirt underneath. In the end, I didn't buy it because the colors were less flattering and there were strange, gray streaks on the sleeves that almost made it look dirty. You'll see those streaks on the ruffled inner-layer, but it looked a little odd to me on the sleeves, for some reason. This reminded me of a Chinese calligraphy drawing and the red is an orange-red. I loved the knit details at the cuffs of the sleeves. If this goes on sale, I'll probably get it.

Splash of spring year round
Wonderful cardigan! light weight, feminine wear with jeans dress or skirt. Perfect for cool summer evenings, and cool fall days. So easy to wear, very versatile. True to colour, size and style. Great for travel, easy to pack....love the luscious colour and print. the lacy detail around the cuffs is so very feminine. My favorite for sure.
