This dress fit me like a glove. I'm not alone, either - check out the rave reviews posted by women of all ages, shapes and sizes!
I am 5'4", 125 pounds, 34D, very short-waisted and athletic but curvy. I am normally a size 6, but finally settled on the size 4 regular after trying the 6P. It hits about 2-3 inches below my knees, which is both flattering and a pleasant alternative to my other dresses, which are either mini or full-length. The smaller size just feels better and I think the closer fit helps the lace detail pop a bit more.
The nude colored slip/lining also alleviated any modesty issues I had with respect to the "peekaboo" detailing throughout the bodice. It might look like you're showing a lot of skin, but it certainly doesn't feel like it once you're wearing it. It's classy and it's sexy, which is usually more than you can ask of a dress at this price point. Bonus: my flesh-colored bra is virtually undetectable, which is key given my cup size and the fact that I have 2 young kids.

Beautiful dress! I ordered the navy and am so pleased with the dress. Very feminine and very flattering!

I would get married in this dress.
I went into my local Anthro store with my sister looking for something else, but saw this dress and had to "just try it on" in white. I'm normally a size 6, but there was only a 4 available in the store. I wasn't planning on purchasing, but once it was on, I didn't want to take it off. I happily paid full price, and my sister and I continued to gush about this dress the entire 20 minute drive home from the store. This dress is GORGEOUS. Even though you're completely covered, it's so figure-flattering and sexy. Definitely a head-turner. I've worn this twice and received many compliments from friends and strangers. It is expensive, but the quality is so good that I see it as an investment. It does run a bit big, so if you're in between sizes, size down. I'm sure a size 6 (if I had been patient enough to wait) would have been fine, but I liked the extra "va-va-voom" I got with the 4. I love the dress in white and am tempted to get it in another color as well!
For reference, I am 5'5", 34C, and usually a size 6.
I'm tall with an ample chest and wide hips (hourglass type) -- so I bought this in an XL because I thought I would need the room and the length. However, there is a lot of stretch to this dress -- so I think I could have gotten away with a L. I'm not returning it though -- the larger size still works, and the stretch in the chest and hip areas makes it even more comfortable. The length is perfect -- not short for those of us with long legs. Also, it is lightly lined inside the dress to the knees. The dress is extremely comfortable and stylish. I love the design -- its JUST as it appears in the picture.

I saw this dress on the mannequin and had to try it on! So I just grabbed the first small and it just fell perfectly on my body. It ends a bit above the ankle, but I can deal with that. The only thing I would suggest to someone wanting to buy this dress is buy it in store!! Not online as each dress is a different pattern. Of course they chose the perfect pattern online, but the dress I tried on had majority pink at the top, so I swapped it for a pattern I loved! The dress looks much better in person too.

If you dig the dress when you see it, you will love it on. I'm convinced.
It's hella soft and so, so comfortable, it's flattering, and it has pockets! It's my dream maxi.
I'm 5'9 and usually wear a size 12, so I was worried the large might be snug or short, but it is neither. It's so stretchy that it forgives and flatters and did I already say comfortable??
I could curl up in one of those weird circle chairs and nap in it with no blanket! Or I could put on one of them vests like bangs o'quinn in the photo and be the loveliest girl at the next oyster roast. Basically this dress is my life now. Praise Dress.
Gotta say I didn't recognize this online when I went looking to write a review. I almost passed it up in the store, as well, but it was facing the dressing room, I loved the "tribal" influence, and on a whim grabbed it "just to see". Big surprise how unique and flattering this is. On me it's a dress (5'1" 115 32DD) took the PXS/S and I plan to wear it that way with tights and booties. The front hit just above my knee with a slightly longer back. The top is not as loose on me as on the model and the bottom curves in slightly keeping it from being totally straight and shapeless. Will look great with the long two toned horn earrrings I bought at Athro last summer. Can't imagine it with boyfriend jeans, although it would probably be fine with skinnies. Although I usually look best in fit and flair, as I'm petite, but hourglass, I'm thrilled with this new look for me. Plan to wear it year 'round.

So happy I purchsed this dress
Received it this morning and so happy with it. True to size, looks great with tights and knee high boots, lovely and soft There are a few designers I like at Anthro...and this is one of them. Make this a must buy.

Another winner by Tracy Reese!
I wasn't sure about this tunic/dress when I saw it online, but in person the shading and design is so unique and eye-catching, you find yourself picking it up! The super soft fabric blend has spandex which makes this dress feel so good on as well. Because of the reviews I originally got a small thinking that as a petite person the dress would be overwhelming. But, I found the sleeves were super tight, so I sized back to my usual medium, and the dress fits very nicely. I say dress, because at 5'3 the front is only slightly above the knees. I also have good skimming coverage over my chest and hips, unlike the smaller size which was too exact. Feels like I'm wearing a big sweatshirt, except it looks so chic! Pair with a low ankle bootie and leggings or bare legs in warmer areas.
This is one of the best dresses I have bought in years. It is made of a substantial cotton knit with just enough stretch to make it fit in the right places and skim over the right places. I am 5'5", 122 lbs. and I bought the size small. I usually wear a size 6 and the small fits like I have described above. So happy to have found a flattering cotton knit dress with sleeves! It looks black and white in the picture, but is actually black and light tan, so will look fabulous with all my neutral sandals. It is about 2 inches longer on me than it is on the model which I like.

Great dress! no problems! very happy
Because of the first review, I want to offer my different experience. I am 5'2" and 102 lbs (for now). I ordered PXS. The dress fits me as it looks on the model, except that she is taller compared to the dress than I am. As the first reviewer said, the material is pleasantly substantial--not weightless like many polyester dresses--so the dress hangs nicely, as pictured.
Especially perfect for summer travel : packable, classy, decorous.

Flattering & comfy
My local store didn't have a petite, so I ordered it online. I am 5'4", 130 lbs., and a 32DD. Typically, I wear a size 6 dress. I bought the PM and it fits like a glove and flatters my figure due to the direction of the stripes. This can be worn casually with a denim jacket or more dressed up with the right shoes and jewelry. I can already tell that it'l be my "go-to" Spring item.
I was looking for a dress for an upcoming wedding and needed something that would be conservative enough for church but would also go with boots for the reception (no heels on cobblestone floors). I picked out several Anthro dresses in the store, and grabbed this one to try on on a whim. After trying on about seven dresses, this is the one I went home with. It's got slightly thicker material, which is nice for unpredictable Texas early spring, and feels substantial but not heavy. It does run slightly large- I'm typically a medium pretty much everywhere I shop, but had to size down for this (for reference I'm 5'8" and about 150 lbs; the lady at the shop said this brand tends to run large). The colors are a little brighter than the picture shows, particularly the orange/pinkish blooms. It also has pockets- ones that are big enough to fit my hands all the way in. After I go to this wedding, I'll have a great dress for dressier work days and nights out when it's a little colder outside.

As an Anthro employee, I am completely in love with this dress. I am always a size 0 in anthro dresses, so xs dresses are usually a bit roomy on me, and rarely work. However, this dress is perfect. The quality is excellent. The weight is a tad heavy, but not too heavy. I will be able to wear this well in to spring. I wore it for the first time yesterday, and honestly lost track of the amount of compliments I got.

Beautiful dress, nice material, unique design, and fits like a glove. It's a great length for wearing to work or for wearing on the weekend. I also want to give two thumbs up to Anthropologie's customer service, who promptly sent me a second dress when the first one got lost in delivery.
I had run into anthro to do a return and this dress caught my eye. Purple stripey dress with pockets. Had a few minutes so grabbed it to try on. I am 5', 120 lbs, 34B. I usually wear a small, 4 or 4P. Since the neck is small, I tried to pull this over my head and felt stuck. I pulled it off to check for a zipper. Nope. No zipper. Even turned the dress inside out to make sure. It's very tight to get on and I had to shimmy it down over my chest. Once on it is snug in the torso but not uncomfortable. The belt gives a defined waistline. The length on me was about 2 inches below my knees which I would usually avoid since it makes me look even shorter except the bell shape of the skirt, V pattern and weight seem to lengthen the look of the leg. I had on tall boots and it completed the retro look. Then it was time to take it off. Another shimmy up and off it came. Dress was very flattering on, but getting in and out was a lot of work. Ended up not buying it. I don;t always like to work that had getting in and out of clothes.

Love this dress - yes the fabric is a bit stiffer than I expected but that is what made it hold its shape. I never got so many compliments on a dress in my life - well, maybe on my wedding dress but that was 17 years ago...
It is super comfy, looks great, and hides just what you need to hide so that you look stunning.

comfortable, easy dress
I agree that the dress is a little stiff getting over the chest area but it stretches a hair and once on fits like a glove. Not for large chested women. Bonus is that it has pockets.
This is my new favorite clothing purchase. This dress is very flattering. I bought the XS Petite as I'm 5'3 and 113 lbs, slender and 32D top. It is first of all so uncomplicated but looks amazingly well tailored. I love how the drape of the top is captured by the tie at the waist and then the drape of the skirt falls beautifully. Great selection of fabric weight for this dress. I also bought the scarf in the model's photo and it brightens the dress around the face -- I"m rather pale in complexion. I have not worn it out yet, but plan to soon. The booties are a perfect addition too. It falls a few inches above my knee, so I will likely wear tights. But I love the leggy look of the model with black tinted stockings. I think for both large or smaller chested women this dress is a winner. If you have a waist, it will do nothing but flatter, and if you don't, (as I am mostly straight up and down) it still suggests one. I'd love to see this style in other prints/colors.

Super chic, super comfy dress
I have a couple other Saturday/Sunday pieces that have worn well throughout many washings and they are some of my most versatile, favorite pieces. This dress is no exception! I loved it on the hanger, and even more once I put it on. The ruched sleeve detail is super cute as well as the tie waist, which hides little bit of tummy flub I like to camouflage. I am well endowed, and the fabric provides excellent coverage without stretching too far or becoming sheer/wrinkling. It looks great with a s scarf, pair of tights, and booties, just like in the picture. I also wore it with a black boucle jacket and it looked really cute.

Flattering & easy to wear
I found this dress in the store last Saturday and I wore it to a holiday gathering that night. It's so easy to throw on. I hadn't seen this photo beforehand, but I ended up wearing it very similarly to the way the model is - with a scarf and booties. I'm 5"4 and it reached to just above my knees, my ideal length. The tie at the waist is very flattering, it's a tad on the high side, but it's not quite an empire waist, and it drapes perfectly -just enough to create a little shape (my figure is pretty straight) without emphasizing the belly area. The neckline is a little on the high side, nothing crazy, but you'll probably want to wear a necklace or a scarf as an accent. The dress is so easy to accessorize anyway that it's not a problem. This dress runs true to size for Anthropologie, I'm usually a small and the small fit me perfectly. One more thing - the fabric is soooo soft and comfortable!
